And that’s what there doing!there going into schools, they had all sorts of different events on match day last year armed forces etc the club took peoples details contacted them afterwards but people were on freebies and discounted tickets they don’t want to know when they have to buy a full price ticket!but in fairness whatever the club do won’t be enough for some people! Sadly, bottom line, it’s not working

92%, so we averaged about 2,700 in 2018? Is that correct? It was also said, complained about on here, that a lot of that 5,2 k was freebies
Well if that’s correct and the Business Plan out by so much, somebody’s planning is way out of kilter
But of course we never see plans or accounts, so as ever in the dark…until we became members…but oh never seen anything😉
Lots of smoke mirrors conjecture and blame…facts are in the aether probably

The game ultimately needs to grow in the schools (and the club/foundation are doing their bit in this regards). Pretty sure someone said not every High School in the area plays RL and I imagine very few primary schools engage in any sort of rugby (even tag).
No reason why tag rugby couldn't be on the curriculum for every school in the area and from that you'll grow the numbers interested in full contact. I'm a product of the Junior Devils back in the late 80's. There is no history of RL in my family and despite trying to convert my nephews I'm still pretty much the only RL fan in the family (bar a few games where I drag my dad & brother along).
Get the kids involved and they'll mither parents into joining them. If we can nail the match day experience then they'll keep coming back.
I also don't mind if new fans get a discount on tickets to get them in. I was on freebies for 5 years until I started paying as a 16yo and 30 years later I'm still here. Even if we don't get full price out of some tickets no doubt a number of those kids/parents will be more than happy to buy a burger/pint which we'll start taking a % from.

As I’ve said before, it’s run like a private Club without investors, with the fans being engaged when funds are needed…..information does not exist…its always somebody else’s fault in a blame culture….so why waste time on it
Be good if it was run in the way Rowley runs his team😉

I genuinely have no idea why you bother supporting Salford fella as everything they do seems to piss you off.🤷♂️😁
If I disliked my own club that much I think I'd have disappeared a long ago.
Tip: Don't go into the posh lounge at the SCS after wins like last week against HKR. The positivity from fans & players alike will send you to an early grave.😂

I go to watch the rugby mate, for which I pay my dues…and v positive about it…I always wonder what Rowley and the coaching squad are capable of if given the funds As I’ve said I admire his openness, honesty team building and management skills…just hope he stays

I’m sure I read it was a while ago and I think it was a lower league football club but they offered discounted tickets to new fans and if they wanted to come again they get discounted tickets but lesser discount and again if they wanted to come again they would either pay full price or another lesser discounted ticket So like new fans pay half price then 20% and then 10% and or full price which doesn’t seem that bad Just too add bring back junior devils

JJR you are missing the point, 5.9 million is a drop in the ocean compared to other councils like Birmingham who need to save 300 million. As for the stadium and the collaboration, the SCC are investing in our Community Stadium and the land around it to make money back in the long term, they want to redevelop Eccles also. In addition this investment (The 300k is a grant not an emergency loan) affords the club investment as they move into a new phase of community ownership with better preferential terms. I am confident that the club will succeed, we had more people through the gates last season than in any other season at the current stadium. Listen to Kings podcast the mood within the club upbeat and optimistic. Those running the club and executing this current plan deserve as much credit as Rowley. Those other fans from opposing clubs who think we're a drain are just a bit thick. How many other councils have ploughed money into stadia; Hudds, Wigan, Wire, Wakefield, etc.

"The Mayor highlighted the benefits of having the Red Devils in Salford and its decision to buy Salford Community Stadium, which is expected to attract £65 million of investment and create hundreds of jobs."
For anyone willing to look at the positives from that article and to save you having to navigate that feckin awful, glitchy, over-ridden by ads website.
