Yep K budget must have been out by about £1M+ last year, selling players and Shares and still out by hundreds of thousands. We seem to blame fans not coming, business not supporting, Council being slow, RFl and Sky funds…what’s factored into this Business Plan to keep it realistic and secure? Sadly we’re still a survival Club thanks to the City The £2M continually mentioned for a grant is not commercial money But hats off to the City for not putting the Club out of business I said the £2m is for infrastructure only and that hopefully will be the start of a brighter future👹 As for the new revenue streams I refer you back to the interview with PK on the DITD podcast where he talked about exciting plans to raise commercial revenue. I guess all will become clear over time I read the 300k as a grant not a loan to facilitate investment which will be linked to an overall plan and commercial outcomes. In order for the stadium to work for Salford CC they need us and Sale to be tenants long term. The way the media brand this as an emergency loan is a disgrace again sending out the wrong publicity. As for Garrido he is a Tory prick should be banished from Salford, his party and their behaviour is an absolute disgrace the past few years.

It's a common theme amongst many RL followers they don't mind how many clubs fall by the wayside, they'd rather they went to the wall than recieved any kind of help.
The media coverage is always appaling.
Garrido is suspicious at the best of times.
As you point out the Tory Party is so awful at local and national level that they still manage to lag behind and make the morally bankrupt and intellectually bereft Labour party amazingly electable!

So we either don’t generate enough money to survive or we are losing too much money which needs topping up with loans or grants from the council or government
So in my view is that we could come up with ways of generating more money like increasing the golden gamble lottery sales or getting involved in events which can raise money
I can think of a few ways to generate some money but not everybody is keen on raffles or fundraisers
I remember an event the foundation did couple of years ago at the Lowry showed the willows movie and had acts on singers and comedian absolutely brilliant night it was … would love to see more of them plus it’s thing that was happening in the old days at the willows

Part one Well maybe such ‘Lowry’ events could instead be held at the Stadium in future. I heard FC United are holding nights featuring Bryan Robson and separately the cast of Early Doors at their ground.
I briefly note the usual or perhaps the unusual suspects 🙃are hogging a certain RL forum et al denouncing that Salford council are loaning more to SRD.
personally don’t see any wrong in this. It’s a loan not a grant. It won’t be coming out of the social care or housing budgets (due to how local govt finances are governed by Westminster. )
Seemingly the cyber warriors have forgotten that Catalan/Toulouse are well funded from their local authority, Wakey and Cas were happy for £12m each from their council and even Leeds have relied on their City council to underwrite the loan that paid for their new stand. Bradford dreamedy of ‘Levelling Up’ cash to renovate Odsal.
Ah well.

Part Two
When the stadium delay is completed any idea how much cash it will raise?

I don’t have a big problem with the council giving us more money but it does send alarm bells ringing when we raise so much we sell players and few games into the new season we get a loan it’s abit like are we that bad with our finances or what
And it doesn’t do the people of Salford any good when they read another loan to Salford and also the council has to save 5.9 million in government cuts
We need people of Salford to support us come and watch us

That’s the big issue and what will ultimately kill is off as super league level crowds!we have 250000 people in the city and against hull kr 3800 were there!over 10000 signed the petition to save stadium where are they?!it’s ok people bagging the club about this and that but there clearly is no real appetite in the city for rugby league apart from the 3500-4000 when you look back through the history of the club it’s a false narrative that we used to get crowds even when we were winning the league we weren’t getting 10000!

Where are the fans at the grand final or joining the fundraiser I know alot of fans didn’t join it but alot did join it
If I was in charge i would do a survey of local people asking if they go to games and if they don’t and if they don’t ask why don’t they and what can we do to get them going start off in barton and then work towards peel green since they are now the locals to the stadium

Be interesting to see what the Club’s Marketing Plan is…it’s their responsibility. Its not the fault of Salford citizens As fans we hear little, so the Salford and surrounding area populus probably don’t even know when we play

It’s not the fault of Salford citizens but clearly the public are not interested in rugby that’s clear!you can go on all you like about the club this Paul king that but the public are not interested prime example under marwan he had enough and wanted to move it to Manchester!but 3-3500 didn’t want that and he jacked it in because what’s the point?!yes there’s some stuff could be done better but it will not suddenly produce 6-7000 gates unless you keep giving free tickets!

We are in a difficult situation - we don’t have a wealthy backer & the people of Salford are probably more soccer (Man U) than Rugby League. I suspect our next 2 home games the Pies (Wigan) & Pussycats (Leigh) will fill their ends - 2,000+ away fans? Bottom line we need more fans! I totally agree with the schools idea & personally don’t mind discounted tickets to get bums on seats. The more the stadium is filled the more likely you can attract businesses to sponsor/support the club generating more income. Shame our season ticket numbers are down from last year - Leigh have substantially increased theirs and they ain’t cheap!
Personally I find parking can sometimes be an issue (myself & mates live in Wigan/Bolton) the ground needs a better exit road from the stadium - not a great experience if it takes ages to get away after the game. Disappointed the council put boulders on the old carriageway to stop the caravan crew from parking there. I don’t mind walking a mile or so but I know some elderly or children may struggle.

I merely asked what the Marketing Plan is…but yes it is the Boards responsibility that’s what they’re there for. And those employed personnel responsible for this are payed to develop and enact that. But yes, cop out, let’s just blame Salford citizens…they’ll never come. But I agree if we keep selling our best players it might be the case

And that’s what there doing!there going into schools, they had all sorts of different events on match day last year armed forces etc the club took peoples details contacted them afterwards but people were on freebies and discounted tickets they don’t want to know when they have to buy a full price ticket!but in fairness whatever the club do won’t be enough for some people!

I’m sure I read it was a while ago and I think it was a lower league football club but they offered discounted tickets to new fans and if they wanted to come again they get discounted tickets but lesser discount and again if they wanted to come again they would either pay full price or another lesser discounted ticket
So like new fans pay half price then 20% and then 10% and or full price which doesn’t seem that bad
