Multiple reports that Brad Arthur will be the next Leeds coach floating around online. Not confirmed yet by the club but is a done deal apparently. Good news for us. Makes a mockery of the shambolic interviews from Sky pundits acting like PR is already a shoe-in. The pathetic RL media (Kyle Amor this time) pushing for Leeds to sign Rowls.

The problem seems to be that there is now a desire for 24 x 7 news and it isn’t there…so let’s pick on something and draw every last morsel to it. There really doesn’t seem to be any legs in this story and Kyle who…yesterdays man, journeyman RL player, , desperately trying to make a buck.

My fear is that we haven’t replaced Blease with quality yet…a couple of fill-ins from the Club won’t do…Bleasy was top,of the tree and we can’t afford amateurs starting at the bottom…we need Rowley in or if not find a guy who’s been an agent and knows the business inside out…difficult but essential

Not a hope…we need somebody who’s done the job before at the top level…if the Club use amateurs and if Rowley doesn’t get the top professional support he needs…I’m sure he will be off.
Bleasy was an agent before he took the job at Salford and had all the contacts…it’s a job where experience at the top level is essential….and has made fortunes for the Club…in fact kept us afloat. And we need somebody fast…unless Rowley goes as Director of Rigby…
Blease sorting out lots of contracts at Leeds already
One of the ‘new’ directors Trainor? seems to be sending the Blease type messages now
So we’ll see

Of course, it's a tailormade position for someone like Brierley when his playing career ends. If he's so inclined, which he may not be.

I’d take somebody like John Kear for a couple of years…but it must be sorted soon and hopefully it’ll be Rowley.

Hang on i think we're going slightly off here. Bleasey was CEO of the club not director of rugby.
We need someone with business background and acumen, not ex coaches.

Agree on type we need but ex coaches with contacts in the game could be valuable. Just not sure if any meet both criteria. I assume the board have enough business skill to back up the right candidate.

Basic job of Blease was to find the players and agree contracts…if you think a business man fits the bill..well ok
I understood CEO is King

Pretty sure there was more to it than that. But I've not seen anything to suggest John kear is a top class negotiator who would be able to levearge the best deal for the club and be able pull together a contract that is both performance related as well as wage reduction clauses for relegation or the like. Might just be me, but I bet he hasn't even read a Grisham:)

Blease was responsible for all Rugby teams playing, he still had to ask King for a budget sign players.
