`The best defence is a good offence” is a cliché for a reason, agreed by theorists as diverse as Sun Tzu, Niccolo Machiavelli, George Washington AND Salford Head Coach Paul Rowley.`

So far Hull 4 London 29

Great win for London should definitely be in super league so much potential having a London team in super league plus they now have a decent ground
Shame when any club gets promoted into super league they can’t recruit players to stay in super league the transfer window should be changed in my opinion

I think that’s why IMG have set the criteria…Wakey already so so been recruiting each year
Its about time we went to 14 teams so we can do away with this stupid 3 random marptch sc3nario…London, Toulouse, or Widnes would add value but of course…Sky money🙃

I agree expanding the league by 2 more teams and I think they should be expansion teams London and either wales or Cumbria team and they get a years grace to give them a chance of building a competitive team to stay in super league

Cumbria…yes but for some reason the RFL totally ignore it and instead plump for Toronto, Cornwall, Newcastle…beyond belief.
A Cumbrian SL team would be a massive asset

Cumbria…yes but for some reason the RFL totally ignore it and instead plump for Toronto, Cornwall, Newcastle…beyond belief. A Cumbrian SL team would be a massive asset Trouble is, as someone who's worked in Cumbria, even though it's a RL hotbed, it's far too tribal for any of them to come together and form a team. Mergers are out of the question, and where does a new fully fledged Cumbrian SL team draw its player pool from? The clubs and grass roots teams that are fiercely loyal to their areas? They wouldn't. I guess the player pool could come from outside Cumbria, but that ultimately defeats the object. If the amateur clubs got behind a Cumbria SL team then the local clubs that exist now will disappear. It's a tough situation and highlights why it's difficult to create an expansion club close to where professional teams already exist. It would be like a new Manchester SL side appearing for us and reducing the pathways and potential pool of players that we are building in Salford. If they come with more money and better facilities, then we'd slowly wither away. It would be similar for Cumbria.

Pity but the way I saw it C was four feeder teams in Barrow, Haven, Town and perhaps Carlisle into a Cumbria Team….great amateur pedigree up there, far better than our area…but yes politics/ parochialism possibly…their good players do leave the area anyway..
Always seems the lost opportunity nobody talks about in RL circles

Kendall again c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1240589468?-44757:31536To me he’s not a bad ref but continually looks at the little things ptb etc , misses the big things…offsides ..and reacts too quickly often in making decisions…(our potential penalty try!!) . He’s fit gets around the field why don’t they try and help him develop?

I see Brad Arthur has signed a one year contract with Leeds for next season. Which presumably will stop Leeds fans telling us they have 'Rowley in the bag' at the end of the season. Good news all round methinks...
