Quick note - There are flyers/posters A4/A5 to promote the Wakey game on 25th August 2023 available from the stadium. The club are asking owners and fans to help out putting them in shops/pubs and bars, cafes, community hubs and on noticeboards. If any members of this forum can spare time to put up flyers in your local area it is appreciated. We specifically want to target Irlam/Cadishead and Central Salford - Salford Precinct, Weaste, Pendleton. Alan Bradshaw has done Monton the past 3-4 home games, I have covered Walkden.
If anyone can help its appreciated, I have a chippy near me and its well known they must get 50-100 customers per day and double that at weekends easily. Flyers/Posters are a traditional medium however it does work, please help if you can.

Great to see some fans picking up the flyers to distribute for the Wakey game from the stadium, the club might need to print more at this rate. Just need to cover Irlam and Salford Precinct now.

Are they available on reception? I'll pick up a few later on my way back from Southport if I can. With it being the "pride game" I assume some have been dropped off at businesses in the gay village in town? If not, I'll be in the city centre office for a day next week so will happily spend my lunch hour wandering down Canal Street dropping a few off. |

I am not sure anyone covers Manchester City Centre Salford Slim that is a great idea, Friday afternoon pint in the fabulous village and dropping off leaflets. The club do not have the resources to drop off flyers in bars/pubs etc. It is fans/owners that need to assist here, Alan Bradshaw does Monton Village, I do Walkden with another fan. Anything you can do in Manchester is gold dust. I did the Costa off the M61 today on my way to a meeting and the petrol station in LH. |

Just got my tickets for Friday there are still loads of flyers available promoting the Wakey Home Game for shops, bars, cafes, leisure centres, gyms etc. These flyers are available at Stadium reception.

I must've just missed you Maurice. I left the AJ just before 3pm to head back to Southport after pick ING up my Hudds tickets. I grabbed 32x A5 leaflets but there weren't loads there so I left some in case anyone else needed to pick some up. They were out of A4 posters as well so I'm going to see if I can get some printed local to me. I'll be in city centre office on Friday so I'll do a lunchtime drop in the village and surrounding pubs. I'm sure there's probably a larger mailing list I can get an e-mail sent out to as well so I'll ask in one of the bars and see what they say. There's a gay RU team based at Sale's old ground so I might try and drop them an e-mail and see if I can convert them to RL instead and I'll tweet them as well if it's not already been done.😁 |

I bet a few Pubs, Thompsons Arms, New Union, Molly House will have Community Boards. There were a group from the Village that did tag Rugby a few years back, this this might have become the Village Spartans team. Still dropping flyers in the Village and a quick pint beats getting piss wet through on the A6. |

The club has done a few free rounds of tickets this year for Armed Forces Day, Building the Future. That said the average crowd per game to date is almost 5.5k which is almost 1,000 up on the prior season of 4,500. The rugby this year has not been as good as last season but the crowds are building. All this marketing raises awareness which translates into footfall. With IMG looming also it is a positive thing - credit to those pushing the flyers. |

Just had a strange discussion with my daughter, she has been in Walkden doing the gyms, chippy, etc and tried the Walkden Gateway. She was told someone in a full Salford Kit had been dropping off flyers. Just wandering if this is Salford Slim, WRD, JJR, Russ, Dixon13 or anyone else on the forum.
