While we're all banging on about SRD's community footprint and impact I was looking at Youtube SRD and the numbers of subscribers and likes borders on pathetic. Given SRD's base support those numbers should be much greater.
So how long does it take to subscribe and like a few videos?
I've no doubt IMG will look at social media impact, and if they don't we need to get rid of them ASAP.

I don’t want Facebook, Twitter Instagram or any of the other deadbeat systems and the website always links to these…so no news no ticks…just keep the website updated with all the news, monitor it or bin it

Youtube footprint is quite small, which is a surprise as it's easily the most accessible site for videos that practically everyone either uses, or knows how to use. Quite why this is the case I don't know. Subscribers and likes on the site are only part of the picture. Actual views and the different stats may be better, but it is disheartening to see. Although, a lot of RL stuff online has poor numbers. Maybe an indicator of deeper problems in the game.
One factor that youtube does badly for the sport is that its algorithm doesn't treat RU and RL as seperate sports. So if you click on a few RL videos the algorithm spits out RU videos in your recommended, thereby defaulting to the inferior code. This is more of a problem for those that are curious about RL and don't understand the schism between the codes.

Our social impact is much more than You Tube. I'd urge fans to read our 2022 Social Impact and Inclusion report before commenting. We're smashing the Community with the Red Devils foundation, numbers subscribing to video channels means nothing hence the council backing us becoming a Rugby City and investing in the programme.

You always mention the finances and that is a way for fans to help. And amazingly doesn't cost anything and with minimal effort!

For some reason there are two channels. An old one with over 1k subscribers (iirc) and a new one. Leeds Rhinos do a great job on YouTube and creating and uploading a video is super easy. It's the premier video platform out there and can be integrated with many things so it makes sense for it to be an area of focus. Video is a richer medium and it was an area I recommended more effort in. On the test site I made I embedded YouTube into the website. Basically, the idea it that it automatically pulls in your six latest videos from your YouTube channel and fans can watch them directly on the club website. Alternatively, they could click through to the YouTube channel to browse older videos. You don't have to host the videos yourself then and will never have issues with bandwidth or playback.
For me, put exclusive content on RDTV and all other videos onto YouTube, which people can access easily from any device. You can also mpnotose YouTube (from memory I think you need 1k subscribers). It shouldn't be difficult to have a steady stream of content. We can take ideas from other clubs (not just in RL) and sports videocasts/podcasts.
