Sometimes it prudent to have SHORT term fixes.
Two suggestions - IF Burgess is out for say 10 - 12 weeks then maybe move for Jake Mamo who has walked out @ Cas.
Secondly if Costello not getting any game time then ask Barrow for a swap deal with Jack Wells who has regained fitness there.

Its a good job we have got Costello, looks like Lafai will not be back anytime soon as he is going for a scan on his hamstring. Rowley said 4 weeks or more possibly after the Wakey game.
On the injury front we have a few back but others out:
Addy - Fit again played Sunday Lannon - Fit again on loan to Swinton Gerrard - Possibly 3 weeks away Dixon - May be 1-2 weeks away Greenwood - Fit again on loan to Swinton Partington - 8/9 weeks away Burgess - Assume 1 week away Lafai - Awaits diagnosis on Hamstring
Sarginson - Has left the club
A short term fix is needed to cover the backs, we can move Watkins to centre which may be sensible against Wigan. But we have very limited cover across 1-5, this is a massive challenge with Sarge leaving.

Can't see Rowley moving Watkins to Centre, More likely Halliwell or Longstaff filling in. Both are the type of players Rowley likes/needs during a season with such a small squad because they can cover other positions. i.e. Centres. Full back is my main worry if Brierley gets injured. I can only think of Costello, who played there for Saints.

Never give up on Rowleys plans; last year later on we were on our knees (as we do each year with lack of funds) without players and he came up with interesting solutions
Fb Atkin, Team of the Week centre Costello. And I’m sure Blease will have some rabbits in some hats
