Remember the Wigan game in question, was working on the Quays at the time and the club asked for volunteers to come and basically shuffle round clearing lines and as much snow as possible from the pitch and terraces, think I walked as the trams were struggling with the snow and got frost bite of the toes of biblical proportions.

Does anyone remember the exact game where part of the Shed had to be evacuated because something had come loose under the roof in the high winds?
Also from much further back when there was an announcement that the owner of such & such a car should return to it as it was on fire.
Ahhh the Willows our sadly missed RL Palace.

I remember a stadium announcement along the lines of ' Can Mr R Sole please report to the secretary's office'.

I remember playing Saints in the cup when the Shed was getting a new roof, and being a Jeb End Red for the day. The North Stand was full of Saints fans, barring a small group of Salford fans right in the middle . I think it must have been in 2003 when we were in National League One, I remember being stood in the North Stand when we put 100 past Gateshead, and playing Batley too.

Three things
Being a ball boy and searching every backyard on one side of the ground when that barsteward Dai Watkins kicked over the stands for the third time that night!
We'd just played Cavaillon I think and no one wanted to change shirts with them cos their shirts were just plain bad(with a capital Wigan} and Dai Watkins gave me a French shirt that I then wore for about ten years for training. It was the kind they made then (in France) with a sort of shoulder pad built into the thing.
One A Team match (those were the days!) Paul Murphy (Mr avoid defence) against an Oldham winger who looked as he was only held together by the number of dressings and each time he was tackled had to have medical help. The Oldham guy got the ball and started running for the line with Paul running alongside him but not taking him down Ans someone shouted "Look, it's Nervo and Knox!"
