Looking for some pointers , never been but fancy it this year What’s the best options for flights , which airport etc Best option for hotels too please All advice gratefully received Lots of things to take into account here Andy. How long do you want to go for? Who are you going with? What sort of accommodation do you want? Hotel? Apartment? 2*/3*/4* etc? For the vast majority of fans, Manchester to Barcelona flights, followed by a stay in Lloret De Mar is the standard choice as it's the cheapest option. You then travel across to the game on the day of the match and come back afterwards, coaches are normally laid on by Catalans Sports Tours and you can get match return for around €30. A few fans choose to stay in the South of France but flights are more expensive and less frequent and eating/drinking Personally I've done everything from shared rooms in $hit hotels to Air BnB's and last year I stayed in the 4* Delamar hotel in the centre of Lloret. Cost me about £750 for B&B for 10 nights but it was superb. I've just checked prices for 10 nights next year and it's quoting me €2000!!!😩 Feel free to drop me a DM and happy to pass on any other info I can.

There are 3-4 night weekend breaks with Jet2.com Holidays,They fly into Girona airport Which is around 20 miles from lloret, I think Ryanair fly there also. It does work out generally cheaper to fly into Barcelona Airport, Four airlines fly from Manchester Easyjet Jet2 Ryanair & Vueling, Also Easyjet & Ryanair go from Liverpool also. What ever you do don't get a flight to Reus Airport As a couple of Red Devils fans did in August, Thought they'd got a bargain it's around 120 miles South of Lloret del Mar !!!. Ryanair advertise it as Barcelona Reus Even though its 60 miles South of Barcelona.

I got flights from Edinburgh to Beziers (S France) this summer that were miles cheaper than anything I could find from manc/Liverpool to around Barcelona or anywhere else in S France. Booked quite late though. Hotels less available and dearer in France than Spain. But some prettier places than Lloret
Perpignan itself is lovely to stay in for a few nights and in striking distance of some amazing beaches

If you're only planning on staying for a long weekend then absolutely, I'd suggest flying to one of the French airports (no direct flights to Perpignan from Manchester last time I checked). Mcr-Beziers Thu-Mon is around £130, which is pretty much the same as Mcr-Barcelona. PS. RUTB.... we all know that Beziers is the nearest airport to Cap D'Agde (popular with naturists & swingers😁). Got anything to tell us?😉

I've done Mcr-Girona for about £75-£80 in the past but I think they've cut a lot of the old timetable. Transfer was about an hour which is 1/2 hour less than Barcelona but you've got lots more options flying to Barca. I got the train from Barca up to Blanes this year as well. I travelled alone and met mates in Lloret so it was quite a nice relaxing couple of hours checking out all the naked sunbathers as we passed the Costa Brave beaches.😋🕵️♀️
