22 man squad announced by Wane includes three current Salford players. Has that happened before? I have a feeling maybe the great Salford team of the seventies possibly.

I thought perhaps Alker, Coley & Hodgson might have made a squad together but having had a quick look on Wiki it looks like Coley played only once for England in 2004, Alker twice in 2005 and Hodgy 5 times between 2005-2012.
Whilst I'm nowhere near old enough to comment on any of our 1980's internationals I'd hazard a guess that we had very few in that time.
Still can't believe they've gone with Ryan Hall on the wing over Budgie. Great player in his time but that time has sadly passed.

Steve Nash, Ken Gill, Keith Fielding were in GB squad in 1977 World Cup.
Paul Charlton, David Watkins, Colin Dixon, Ken Gill, Maurice Richards were in GB tour squad in 1974.

The Salford Trio had a good game last night, the game itself was a none event 50 nil, there was a good Crowd but due to traffic problems there was people still coming in 10 minutes after the 2nd half kick off, Fiji were dreadful.

Organisation and marketing awful by the RL
If it had been done properly could have filled the ground but it was a cant be assed attitude….S and W Stands pretty full….oh and there was a Services game befor3hand
Fiji singing and their crowd wonderful but yes the team awful, but lots of the NRL players either didn’t come to England or were rested
And could we get a programme or team sheet….a what?? So sadly we never knew who was playing. Hope IMG were there
