I think the absence of Croft for us will be the difference. They've earned the right to be arrogant, but they will need to be on their game.
I hate to be negative, but I think this will be the end of the line for us this season. I'm still incredibly happy and proud of the club and the team for what they've done regardless.
It is a one-off game though, and it only takes the bounce of the ball to go in your favour and fate can change in a blink of an eye. I do remember us going to Wigan and them having the same thoughts about us in 2019. Can lightning strike twice?

I remember one game a couple of years ago - Rub Lui was our star playmaker and he went off injured and we still went on to win, and win well. I remember thinking with him off the opposition couldn't work out where our threat was coming from - hopefully it'll be the same on Saturday -we have attacking possibilities all over. Like most I would have been happy to make the play offs this season and if the journey ends on Saturday it's still been a better season than we all expected but I think we might just have the minerals to make the final again this year. We ended Wigan's CC dominance in '96 so why can't end the top 3 (4 if you include Bradford ) dominance of the GF. It's time for a new name on that trophy.

I think we have a shot against Saints, especially if the defence plays like it did against Hudds, but Saints present a far greater attacking threat with players like Welsby and Lomax who can play outside of a structure and set plays - unlike Hudds. I think without Croft we may struggle to score enough points to win but I'm not writing us off. Missing Croft is sure to fire up the othe players and our defence has been getting better and better.

As Murphy used to say ‘It’s 13 v 13, just go out and win’ Not sure who we play in the Final anyway

Yes.😁 I refuse to write this team off until the final whistle blows at the end of the match. Bookies have Saints at 3/8 and we're 11/4 but I'll take those odds, they've often been a lot worse! It's gonna be a hell of a scrap but I'd back us over anyone in the league right now to beat Saints at their place. Momentum is huge and I believe we can achieve something special, even without Brodie. And don't underestimate the impact that travelling Red Army will have on the players. If it's anything like the atmosphere of Wigan 2019 it'll be a hell of a lot of fun! 👹👹👹

I'd guess average away support is no more than 2,000, probably less, menacing Wigan get 10,000 - 10,500 fans. I bet they had half that that day. Too many fans watching on TV. Hopefully, that'll be the case against Saints. I expecte about 4,000 Salford fans and we sure made a huge difference!

It’s Salford v Leeds without Sezer
We now know how to beat them after our loss at their place

That’s just taken the nerves up another notch. Not counting chickens, not expecting a win tomorrow at all, and not discounting Leeds they are a very good team, but Wigan with Field and French on that big pitch i thought we’d struggle. Big big if, but if we can win tomorrow, wow.

I’ve read that Sezer passed his HIA, but it was decided not to risk him. Looks like he is available for OT.

Let's take stock of this side for a moment. The loss of croft is a big one but no more so than walmsley for them who always gets them on the front foot. I never thought we'd nil Huddersfield but we are now THE form team in this league and playing with a confidence and a style that always means we score tries. If we can defend well today and keep the excellent disapline of late then we will win today.
