As much as I dislike the plazzy Scousers I have to agree with you! Atkin was falling and if there was shoulder to head contact it was borderline and Welsby would've been really unlucky to face a ban.

The Knowles appeal takes the pi$$ though. He knows exactly what he's doing and whilst it's not a forceful move it's dangerous and deserves a ban. No good for us of course after the event! Saints appealing it stinks of "it's all about us" and they obviously don't give a f*ck if he gets the extra game as it would affect England and not them. Really poor form IMO that.

I might be able to bring myself to watch the game back tomorrow after a few beers. Still gutted but immensely proud of everyone connected to the club for this season, it's been an amazing ride. I really believe we'd have done Leeds at OT with Brodie back and it would really sting if they manage to turn Saints over (I still fancy Saints though).

Let's just hope we can build on the progress we've made. A few re-signings and a couple of additions in the next few weeks would be a brilliant way to keep the optimism flowing.🤞

Knowles ban was stated by Wolff, just to be a Professional Foul, one of the many Saints undertake all season, along with their other professional cheating tactics. Wolff seems to applaud these fouls, but they’re not Professional mate, they’re, Cynical and Cheating.
It’s simple now Professional Fouls committed should receive a ban, Makinson, cheated got 10 min, the Ref made a mistake, according to all the pundits and we didn’t have a grandstand finish.

So in my book give these professional foulers, like the feigning injury by Myler in a match, a 3 match suspension and it’ll stop. It needs to be stamped out now because it’s creeping in more and more and there’s no redress besides the 10 min. Makinson not in the Final would have been justice.

Rowley wants to win but seems not to preach cynical cheating. Everybody is applauding Wolff but to me if that’s his way, get back home mate.

Penalty try = 4 points plus conversion in front of posts. Only where you are stopped from scoring a certain try by foul play

If you score the try and are fouled while doing so you have the opportunity for an ‘8 point try’ - a conversion in line with the try and a penalty in front of posts

Honestly it’s enough to turn you away from the sport. Can’t believe that, farcical
