Think the main issue are the knocks they’ll carry over from yesterday; Wright, Watkins, Taylor, Ackers and Gerrard did around 220 tackles between them and Ackers did 177m

Saints game, yes he played well and I didnt forget that. However I also didn't forget the Cas game and the whole of last season. I'd give it Borough or livett. Tbh it does really matter, Paul Rowley has forgotten more about rugby than I will ever know so am happy with whatever he chose and will back whoever get the shirt. Even Sarge

Atkin was brilliant at full back yesterday when he replaced Brierley. The way he organised our defence when we defended our line while down to 12 was fabulous. Barking orders, getting bodies in the right place. Great to see
Whether that’s enough for him to get the nod to start there and Brierley at 6 I’m not sure but the more I think about it, the more I like it 😂
Brierley is more of a running threat than Atkin and linking in as a 3rd pivot could suit Atkin’s game more than being one of the main creators.
But I agree, I will trust whatever decisions Rowley makes

Helen Skelton says she is a big fan of the Salford fans, best in the League; so a song on Saturday?
Saints reckon they’ll be at full strength. 5 returning from injury but does that mean not match fit?

Bit “off topic” but a couple of mentions on the thread about Chanel 4 coverage. I haven’t seen Sky coverage for a few years but have seen lots on the board about the commentators being poor . I think the Chanel 4 so far has been brilliant. Kyle Amor is excellent in commentary, calling out cheating and not afraid to say what he sees. Skelton is brilliant and so was Hill. Assume he is taking a back seat in preparation for the World Cup. My son has Sky, and told me he was gutted he didn’t know the Huddersfield game was on Chanel 4 as well, because he much prefers their coverage. Free to air TV. Love it.

I really like the C4 coverage but can't say I'm a huge fan of Danika Priim. Seems to mumble on a fair bit without too much insight for me but maybe I'm being harsh.
She also stands really funny and looks like she's about to jump into a pliè at any minute!😁

With Sky it’s the Chuckle Brothers McDermott and O’Connor who ruin it; ramble on with the same stupid comments but say nothing….I often turn the sound off it’s that bad Carney, Wells and Jenna are good…but often they appear to sit in a stupid shoe box. Get rid of the two aged props who clearly don’t understand the game and put Brown, Johnathon Davies, or others in their place and it will be good.

I like Baz and Tez, but they aren’t commentators for mine. They were decent at the bits they used to do on boots n all or whatever it was called at the time but they don’t add much insight. Phil Clarke and Wilkin mostly just seem to want to be controversial, but at least get people talking I guess. Carney wells and Jenna are all very good, I don’t really get all the hate that sky get and have always got. That said I like Channel 4, it’s new fresh and probably just edges it at the moment

RE coverage: I think most people's issue with Sky is the commentary team, which is extremely poor. I think Carney and Jenna do a good job. I quite like the Wells section. People like Clarke and Wilkin are there to have an opinion and create talking points. I listen to the podcast Wilkin does with Flannigan and he mentioned a time he was annoyed with Clarke over a comment he made on TV. He pulled him one day and Clarke took him to the side and said something along the lines of "it's TV. Jon, what are you worried about". Back to the commentary though, it's extremely poor. I watched the Penrith game in the morning and the Cats v Leeds game in the evening and the gulf couldn't be bigger. Voss is enthusiastic and pulls you into the game. The others on the team offer genuine insight into the game and player actions, almost like amcoaches perspective, whereas we get the same repeated dross week in and week out. I hope they bring the Oz commentators over for the World Cup.
RE Saints: I fully expect Atkin to play 6 with the bench filed depending on fitness and what Rowley wants to achieve. If he wants a multi-facated player tonl play the Atkin role then it'll be Sarge. I don't see a need for Bourouh as Akers doesn't tend to come off. Livett isn't a bad shout as he he position flexibility but does he get on the pitch? Our centres won't be coming off, nor Akers, so he'd be there to spell the back-row... it may not be a bad idea to gives players like Taylor and/or Wright a breather given the work they do. Or we could carry an extra prop.
Personally, I hope Sarge is fit. He has more attacking talent than our other options and we will need to score points, something that will be a lot harder without Croft, who for me is easily the best half in the league. Sarge was poor against Cas but he was on the wing and I think he big issue was that he was over enthusiastic, he wanted to get involved too much, put himself about and make an impression. He needed more composure. And also, not being on the wing will give him more involvement without him going looking for it, like when he played FB against, when he also wasn't match fit and was coming back from an injury. Of all the players to fill the void, as I say, he has the most attacking talent and will run at the line, as Croft does. And he's prepared to play from deep, like launching an attach straight from FB. I'm happy with what Rowley goes with, as everyone will be... but unpopular opinion that I haven't seen mentioned... if Sarge is fit, what about keeping Sneyd, Atkin, and Brierley in the positions they have played in our purple patch - for least distruption - and playing Sarge at 6 and tell him to run at the line and challenge them. We'd effectively have three centres down that edge (Watkins and Cross). I watch the Huddersfield game back and we didn't have much going on in attack on the second half. There were also two occasions the ball was swing left to right and when the ball hit Atkin the play died. I think he'll do a job, with a week preparing for the position, but I really like him in that free support role he has, attacking gaps across the field with a low centre of gravity.

Good points, but am not sure why we think Sarge is going to be fit. As you said he wasn't match fit for Cas and that won't have changed. We will see how Rowley plays it but it's certainly nice to be chatting about options for a change and shows some really strength at the right time of the season

anyone else having trouble buying tickets online ? I'm trying to buy 3 tickets - 1 Adult, 1 senior and 1 junior, all ST holders - but I get an error message
'Unfortunately, you are attempting to purchase more tickets for a match than you are allowed to. Please double check, and either choose a different price class, use "assign" to assign tickets to a member within your network or remove items from your basket to proceed.'
any ideas? - I've tried assigning the tickets as suggested but get the same message. Just trying to resolve without having to ring the ticket line.
