Trying my best to not get too carried away right now but really thinking that this seasons team is overall better than the 2019 legends. Forward line was better then but in backs and halves we are massively improved.

I'm not even sure about the forwards TBH

Think Moose and Jones get in there. Need to get Taylor signed up if possible. The man is a machine every game.

This team has real flair. I'd back this one over 2019.

If results go our way and Dragons continue to falter we could well finish 4th and get a home draw.

If we continue to play the way were are doing then anything is possible. But as Rowley says best to take one game at a time.

Ok so here's the 2019 GF squad and the team we put out yesterday against Catalans.
2019 Evalds Sio Welham Bibby Inu Lolohea Hastings Mossop Tomkins Dudson Jones Griffin McCarthy
Interchanges: Lussick Flanagan Walker Burke
2022 Brierley Sio Cross Lafai Burgess Croft Sneyd Dupree Ackers Akauola Taylor Watkins Gerrard
Interchanges: Lannon Atkin Ormondroyd Luckley
I guess if you're going to be picking a best combined 17 then you need to probably include Sarge, King V & maybe Livett from the current squad (although appreciate his form has dropped off massively post injury). Is there anyone from 2019 worth considering who missed out through injury?
EDIT: Junior should probably be included as well. Good luck picking a best 17 from that lot!😁
I'll have a think while I'm on the beach and stick my team up later.🏖️

Think I've had a brain freeze. Can't blame me after yesterday. Who was Walker in the 2019 squad?

The first thing that strikes me is that only Burke and Sio remain from the 2019 squad…..well done Bleasy but we must get this sorted
Lolohea Sio Welham Lafai Burgess Croft Sneyd Mossop Ackers King Taylor Watkins Hastings
Luckley Lussick Jones Dudson

Evalds
Sio Cross Lafai Burgess
Croft Hastings
Mossop Ackers Ormondroyd Watkins Jones Taylor
Lussick Dudson Gerrard McCarthy
Biggest dilemna was Hastings/Sneyd but just think that Jacko is the better overall player.

He is...BUT... would he compliment Croft as well as Sneyd does? There are gonna be numerous combinations to consider with this squad and I'd be tempted to have Jacko at 13 to keep Croft/Sneyd together. Interesting how all squads above are 2022 heavy in personnel so far, despite this team potentially not even making the top 6!

Yes interesting SS
I think Lui Inu ( one of the best players I’ve seen) and Flanagan would get into anybodys team, it’s just that they were at end of their careers and of course todays set is more of a team, opposed to 5 sets of power and a kick in the Watto days
