That was a tremendous performance and we made them look quite ordinary. Well done lads.

Amazing and too much to take in. Never seen Saints capitulate so easily. We played on Hurrell, the lump in the centre and the inexperienced Bennion and they had no answer and even Akauola scored.
The defence, led by Taylor ( gotta offer him another year) made Saints look lethargic and the Salford reject Lussick, second best to Ackers. And with only 18 fit players.
Stuck for words, but brilliant…and Saints first try, v v dubious. Tania was here leading the Beeb team so be interesting watching on Monday.

Even Mystic Meg would have struggled with this. What a performance brilliant as I have done before the first pint will be raised to say well done to Paul Rowley and the boys.

The video shows Hurrell for what he is, a lump and a donkey but poor old Roby tried his heart out but sadly has really slowed down Retire after this season lad after a brilliant career.

More than 6,000 in attendance today. Fair play to Saints, good turn out and most stayed til the end to applaud their team. Must have been pushing 4k Salford fans though. Hopefully we keep turning up over the next weeks - and into the play offs.

Absolutely brilliant. Thought I was dreaming
We absolutely tore the champions apart
Tim Lafai was pretty much unplayable. What a return for Sarge. All 17 were outstanding
The backs will rightly get the plaudits for some unbelievable tries and the forwards were outstanding too. More than matched their opponents
Fantastic to watch

The Saints fans on social media have been pretty good at taking this defeat. When you win so often and know you'll win again that might be easier but I appreciate their posts for not rubbishing their team and taking away from SRD's efforts.

I cannot remember a better performance against a `top team` (bar Wigan away) and credit Paul Rowley for his special coaching skills.
Two points re his vision. Lafai/Burgess were imperious as he targeted the turnstile Hurrell & secondly the introduction of Atkin as an extra pivot was a master stroke.
Rowleyball forever.
