If there was a World record for the amount of Kebab and North African Takeaways in one city centre then it's got to be Toulouse, Not complaining as we went into a bistro Saw what you got for 3 course menu *Minature Green beans Beef ,Quickly left and across the road to a Tunisian place. The Cab driver last night said Salford will win, And as we all know Taxi drivers are the Fountain of all knowledge, probably

Does anyone know if there will be any commentary tomorrow as it isn’t down to be on Radio Manchester. Just Googled it and can't find radio commentary anywhere. I'm sure everyone will be glued to Twitter for updates but I'll do my best to update the score on here as the action unfolds! That's assuming I don't fall asleep mid-match after 3 1/2 hours sleep😴😂. French trains are bloody great compared to our shower of sheeite though, I'll give them that, and the lovely ticket inspector lady has already brightened my morning!😍 Ten out of ten for perseverance SS, think everyone was feeling for you yesterday, you would make a good Secretary of State for Transport. Once when working in the Middle East we arrived at Heathrow to get a connection to Toulouse. At the time I was really out of touch with Red Devil events, so much so I turned to the wife to say "But Salford are in a C C semi final!" on news in flight, we ignored the connection hired a car at Heathrow and bought a ticket at the ground but that doesn't close to SS's level of support.

Speaking as a HKR fan who has been to Toulouse three/four times now, it really is a beautiful City with loads to do. A visit to the square, a ten minute walk off the main road in the centre is well worth a visit.
Whereas away fans have a central meeting place in Perpignan round the pink castle, Toulouse is more spread out so fans tend to congregate in a particular stand in their impressive stadium. We did find that where ever your match ticket is located the stewards have no problem allowing away supporters to sit together.
And the weather was extremely hot even allowing for the late kick off.
There is a French radio station which broadcasts the game but unless your fluent in French it basically allows fans to know which team is in possession by recognising the players name. LOL

I've been critical of defense also this year, and while one swallow doesn't make a summer it's nice to see this side of our game improving. Long may it continue. it would be nice to see us putting together some consistency starting this week, but I expect Toulouse will be a tough nut to crack at home and they'll be very much up for it. Hopefully we'll have a 'ball sticks to hands' week instead of a drop-a-thon that tends to proceed a good performance. First 25 minutes looks like the Second Type of performance. |
