Heard with cooper going to Wigan we were looking at getting Partington for rest of season on loan as he's coming next season

Must admit I’ve kept having a dig at the defence and covering particularly of Brierley covering across the backline like the top fbs ( although he’ll be paid a fraction) and Crofts tackling, but yesterday superb
Basically Rowley hasn’t got the best paid squad, so they are bound to have weaknesses BUT as he’s said they’re improving every week. Brierley running across the back with Croft nullifying those winger tries that occurred early season. He’s building the skills of all anf developing a team, a band of brothers…unlike Warrington, a set of highly paid individuals posing for glory. Much more satisfying to find it yourself than keep following a Process…which is the Watto way…and a bit predicable and boring. Nothing boring about this group.
We know the first 15 of each half is often poor or even disastrous but I assume he’s giving them the skills and they have to work it out; far better than being told what to do each week.will take much more time to perfect but if we can keep the squad together the future looks v v bright.

I've been critical of defense also this year, and while one swallow doesn't make a summer it's nice to see this side of our game improving. Long may it continue. it would be nice to see us putting together some consistency starting this week, but I expect Toulouse will be a tough nut to crack at home and they'll be very much up for it.
Hopefully we'll have a 'ball sticks to hands' week instead of a drop-a-thon that tends to proceed a good performance.

If we can defend how we did on Sunday, we will win. That is, however a big if.
Stats show what type of team we have this season so far. Only three teams have conceded more points. They are the bottom three in the league. Only two teams have scored more points. They are the top two.

Remember…First year for the team and coach
Think the main thing is guys that the team has worked hard to develop together and individuals have improved their skills…week by week.
The next bit for me is first 10/15 minutes each half, no mistakes and complete sets. And all with lots of injuries and minimum players available.
Impressive.
Leeds did complain that Toulouse are forever feigning injury to slow the game down….in the 7 defensive sets we just kept up the pace. Be great to see the spine plus Atkin keep running at them for a full 80
its as exciting as the Friday night Watkins team of the 70’s with more playmakers but less speed
( Charlton, Watkins, Richard’s, Fielding were all probably faster than Burgess)

Lannon (looked injured on Sunday but may be ok?)
Addy
Watkins
Taylor
Ackers
Burke
Hellewell
Atkin can go in at hooker and maybe Ackers do a spell at loose yo spell one of the others
Will Burke be picked?
