That defence for the first fifteen minutes of the second half was where the game was won. Absolutely brilliant, determined, honest stuff. Catalans were the team that tired in the sun rather than us. Our fitness and conditioning must be excellent. An extremely satisfying victory.

Wow, amazing tackling stint and fantastic tries and I thought we were the team short of players.
Ackers absolutely immense, to me easily the man of the match.
Couple of moans🤣 Can the touch judges do more than stick the flag up for touch, the number of off the ball incidents by Cats that were missed, amazing. And Thaler seems to miss a bit more too. Can we just complete our first two or three sets at the start of each half, my blood pressures getting too high And Tomkins, still the same old weezly moaning appealing snake…surely he’s not the best full back in the League….retirement soon …as a ref, which seems to be the job he wants to do
What a wonderful game and I was thinking off at half time to sit in the garden🤣

Sky report suggested a top six birth and that would be brilliant but would rather no one mentioned it until it happened.

Double post so I'm going to say I think Sneyd is the signing for mine.

I thought today was one of the best displays in a long while. Like many others before the game I would have been happy with a good performance even if we had lost narrowly- but we got much better than that. Our defence was heroic and we had the ability to score some excellent tries. Paul Rowley and the rest of the coaching staff deserve a great deal of credit. It seems the players have bought into everything the coaches are trying to do and they show the guts and the togetherness that is helping us achieve days like today. A brilliant afternoon.

Catalan thought we would roll over.....what a shock they got, we were faster, stronger and had more brains than they had, all of Tomkins whinging to the Ref got them nowhere it was obvious they didn’t have a plan B, well done the lads humongous, awesome Win.

Would have found it hard to believe, looking at the great attacking plays on the highlights, that defence won us that game. For me, it did. Judging by the reaction when the Catalan player was bundled into touch at the end of defending six or seven sets in our twenty, I am not alone. Absolutely phenomenal.

What an incredible effort that was yesterday, low on numbers against a bigger pack. Thought Olmondroyd was again outstanding with Ackers, Taylor solid and Addy with his mobility and work rate in the heat. Too keep Cats to 6 given the conditions was outstanding. One thing that will stick with me is the desire of Croft, Cats had numbers on the left mid-way through the 2nd half near our line and he sprinted across the field to cover the space, unreal effort. We now go to into next week with no pressure on us, they beat a Leeds decimated Leeds team this weekend, we play like we did yesterday and we win.

I thought the crowd were great and Rowley said so and thanked them on Manchester Radio.

How Rowley got the pack to dominate theirs is beyond me. All brilliant, Addy adding so much energy, Lannon doing 20 when not fit, Taylor a full match, Watkins just class, Ackers Man of the match, Atkin braver than brave, Gerrard doing the donkey work, the new lad did his bit but the highlight to me was Luckely taking on Kasiano, 1st tackle overpowered him, 2nd tackle in as 2 nd man in totally floored him then stood over him and just smiled; Kasiano limped away head down and knackered.😄
And to think King, Dupree, Livett, Wright, Wells, Greenwood, Bourouh. No Burke, presumably Rowley issue.
Just hope Bleasy can keep the guys together next year with a few of Rowley/Blease inspired additions. Partington a good start.
And those expensive Oz half backs, yards off the pace, just spoilers, niggly, process players, slow, and dull; but the food wine and money good….wonder why they’re there?

According to BBC Weather it's "only" due to be 31° in Toulouse on Saturday and not high 30's as it has been recently. Don't get me wrong, that's still pretty grim but hopefully by kick off that might've dropped back into the high 20's. Hopefully Rowley gives the lads a couple of days off to recover and it looks like we didn't pick up any further injuries yesterday.
Anyone know when the lads are due to fly out to France? (I assume they're flying to Bordeaux / Beziers / Carcassonne due to there being no direct flight to Toulouse unless they're flying from Stansted🤔)
PS. There was no way there was only 2600 there yesterday (unless we gave out 1500 free tickets which they're not counting!).

As Hudds are playing Catalan around the same retime I wonder if Watto, who was spying yesterday, will give us a lift in his private jet bought after signing his new contract.
Is it true now that Watto has his new school cap that he’ll be starring in a new Jimmy Crankie series?

Said from the start we’ll have a few really bad games this season and a few really great wins, inconsistent but good to watch. They’ve surpassed that for me, especially given the injuries we’ve had. Rowley has surprised me with how well he’s got us defending, and discipline! Brilliant. And let’s be fair, Orr was getting pelters earlier on the season but our attack is now so fluid. Best team to watch for me.
If we can keep the bulk of this team together and add a couple of improvements - and more importantly stay fit, we’ll be a dark horse next season.
