I understand you see nothing of value in a guy who stopped the Club going into Administration.

I think Marwan was badly advised, he knew little about RL but didn't help himself with drunken rants on social media and bringing negativity on the club. That said his money kept us afloat which we all have to be grateful for...

I understand you see nothing of value in a guy who stopped the Club going into Administration. He may have done, however he did cripple the club and its those who are currently running the club like Andy Rosler and Pal King who have actually made it what it is at the moment.

The people who made the Club what it is today inc John Wilky Marwan and many many more RR, both behind the scenes and in full glare. Get the blinkers off and appreciate that everybody tries in their way mate.

You have to think of what connects you to the club and Wilkie, Marwan and the present board feel the same way.

Totally wrong RR. You need to read what I’ve written. You seem to be of the opining that Marwan added nothing. With the Club at present I just point our the obvious; the club is in survival mode, with no money.

Apart from the signings at that time Marwan wasn’t ill advised. The bloke is a self made millionaire he knew exactly what he was doing when he broke the cap etc he saw the rfl as a tinpot organisation and tried to take full advantage of it but was found out. Marwan would never last at any other club that’s why he’s never fully got back involved. Watson saved us from becoming another Widnes

And I don’t get this we don’t have money. You don’t sign the likes of Sneyd, Croft, Burgess and Lafai etc and have no money

I like it when people have their own view of history, interpretation is everything!

Koukash was in it to make money and when that never materialised, he moved on. I believe he was sold on this idea that we were a sleeping giant by the RFL with great investment opportunities with the land around the stadium and the possibility of one day buying the stadium itself. As we know none of that actually came to fruition and he left when realising he was never going to see a return on investment. The whole moving us to Manchester was a ploy in my eyes to try and force the council to sell the stadium to him rather than risk losing a team but you then had the emergence of Salford City and think at that point the council called his bluff.
Yes he may have saved us when he stepped in but he tried to cut corners and stripped us back in areas that have left us trailing every other super league team and even championship teams with academies and the like. Thankfully these have now been restored but we are still years behind and we are very much reaping what he sewed.
I don't think anyone on this board would say they preferred Moor Lane over owning the AJ Bell but the reality is, we simply have nothing of value currently as tenants at AJ Bell that even allow us to make money so at least Moor Lane offers the club that opportunity to bring in cash flow. I am also not excited by the Gerrard bid for the same reasons as the wording is crucial, he wants to buy the stadium, not the club. He will invest in the club but there is also Swinton included in this at some level so what type of investment is actually being proposed? One, of course, we don't have knowledge of yet but I have faith in the current board looking out for our best interests and if that means ML is better then I will support that as I doubt they want to see the club go under.

Yes you are right we don't know what is being proposed, that is why I will not comment on the Gerrard situation till I do. But if I am truthful I think if we finish at Moor Lane and I have be there meny times,I think it will be finish of the Club I am sorry to say.

Reality is we were a dying club the moment we were forced to walk away from owning our own ground and having the ability to generate cash.
