I always wonder why Salford FC; lowest average home attendance (2155) in their division and renewal season ticket £180 want to move from ML. Poor ground, not attractive to fans, no parking, fans would rather watch the big teams, poor footy, out in the sticks..?.?.?

If the club have no money and are struggling to pay the wages why have they been extending contracts beyond this season for players. They have turned down two bids for Watkins. Surely, they would be cashing in now if things were that bad. Where has this news about Gerrard come from - a mate of my mother in laws milkman or something. Salford aren't awash with money, we know that but if we don't have the money to pay wages now there must surely be zero chance of even making it to Moor Lane.

It’s called Projection Planning or simply next year, if we survive, we’ll have money from the RL and Sky The other way of course would be to wait to get the money in, say next January an£ then sign players. Can the mate of your mother in laws milkman play RL?

Amazing how he knows so much about footie and lasted about 6 months when he had to do it.

I fail to understand why Gary Neville and his mates get stick from people in this area. I understand why he gets it from visiting supporters and also wider criticism from the football community regarding the number of recent managers.
The class of 92 are putting back into the sport which gave them great success. As a Man City supporter, proud Salfordian and season ticket holder at the AJ Bell and Moor Lane, I would like to thank them for all their efforts and giving our city a football league team

I'd like to thank them for siding with kick and clap to remove us from our stadium.

Yes Neville a true supporter of the wider Salford Community…hoping to get his £4m from the Council, a bumper crowd at the AJ of 2,500 and a knighthood for his services to Rugby Union.

I would go into this more but without Gerrard's investment there seems little point.
Part of our problem has always been not seeing ru for what it is, what it's capable of and how they view us as sporting competitors not friends in sport.
This is mostly because far too many RL fans and supporters also like yawn.

You’re right Russ, Neville
“Looks like the AJ going to be free so we’ll move our average 2000 crowd over to get rid of any parking issues, I can have a decent box in the ground and we can fill the East Stand ( well nearly) assuming Salford Council will cough up £4m because the ground at ML isn’t big enough for when we get promotion to the Championship in a couple of years time”

Has Gary Neville f*cked your Mrs JJR?😁 (surely that would be Giggsy's job right?) Not sure why you dislike him so much or are you one of those folk who ain't in agreement with a lot of his left-wing views?😁
The plan for Salford City is to get Championship Football within the next 5 years or so and as most sane humans are aware, success often breeds crowds. Yes, Salford City are in a footballing hotbed with Utd and City on their doorstep but they've gone from 60-70 crowds in the NWCFL to circa 2500 in around 12-13 years. (90% of those fans joining the club since the Co92 takeover in 2014). There are a lot of local football fans (old and new) who can't afford £1000+ a season to go to Old Trafford or the Etihad and Salford City represents an affordable option to watch a decent level of football.
Neville has stated that they were in no rush to leave Moor Lane but when Sale put in the bid for the stadium his hand was forced into trying to secure Salford City a place at the stadium.
We've been trying 130 years to build a fanbase and were struggling for 2500 home fans... I'm not sure we're in a position to slag a club off that has grown it's fanbase by around 2500% in 10 years.🙄
