Interesting ‘working closely with the Reds’…a Community Club, not owned…who are the Reds?
Is the non poll, seen as the mandate to go to ML?

Nice of the council to pay lip service to the Stadium Petition that was 2021 we are now in 2022.
What the hell are 'the supporter engagement sessions that the Reds have held that the Council have been working closely with the Reds to try to find a satisfactory outcome re their future'.
If this is the poll the club sent out with 3 choices well over 6 months ago outlining Moor Lane as the only option then it is a joke. The landscape has changed since then, at that point Sale/FC we're the only option for the stadium purchase we did not have a choice as per the worded email from the club. It led all fans to the same outcome.
Since then and into 2022 Seb Gerrard has come along and possibly put in a bid that changes the landscape for the benefit of the Club and Community - this is what most fans want as I understand it.
Not once this season as a season ticket holder has the club asked me my opinion on the new landscape regarding the stadium. As a fan I support the Gerrard bid, Moor Lane is a ticket to the Championship, never mind meeting any criteria that the RFL or IMG Super League modernisation may put on the club.
If I had been engaged by the club as purported in the response I would not have invested time in sharing, backing the petition to remain at the AJ Bell and lobbying my MP.
It is getting to a point where the club need to call out their desired outcome - Back Gerrard's bid, or keep playing the neutral.

Has anyone seen or even asked Gerrard what his offer is ie has he even made one to the club as an owner/investor or a prospective landlord? Surely, if he outlined even in broad terms to the fans what his plans are re Stadium/Club he could gather support and momentum from the fans/commumity.
It all seems too vague at the moment and I dont see why we have to guess what the Club knows when we could just ask the guy ourselves or request a open meeting with both the Club/Gerrard. Least then we can support something with substance.

Least then we can support something with substance. I wouldn't expect him to divulge the value in £ of his offer. He has put himself up for interview on Radio Manchester a few weeks back. - There is a post earlier on in this thread that summaries what he said. ...he first objective is to own the stadium and maximise the return from that - put events, gigs, horse of the year shows on. Minimal interest in rugby league, but family were Swinton fans, i think he suggested us, Swinton, Sale & City all playing there. he will mainly be using family money to buy it. Once that stadium is sorted he may then invest in the rugby club. www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/salford-red-devils-aj-bell-24784941not sure what else you want from him. -it's a commercially sensitive and therefore private deal he has put forward.

Fair idea SK, however if I understand this process correctly the Bids have been submitted to the council for selection by 19th Aug. I am assuming the Council with input from Peel assess each bid and a recommendation on the preferred bidder is then put to Council Cabinet for approval.
I guess the idea of a meeting Gerrard would only allow us to better understand his bid and intentions although it may be a worthless exercise if the council prefer a bid from Sale/FC. Knowing Gerrard has formally submitted a bid would be a start.
One thing for sure if Moor Lane becomes reality I'll be asking the council for justification as to the merits of this decision and how it benefits the club and community. I think we will know our fate as a club in the next 6 weeks.

Not to mention where our Women and Reserve Teams play. I'd be surprised if the RFL approved it, never mind if rules change with a restructure, oh and there is the water logged pitch FC fans have complained about in the past.

If that’s the information coming from the Club to the Council insinuating supporters prefer ML to potential security via somebody other than Sale buying the Stadium it’s at the v least ‘inaccurate. I hope whoever received it has responded.
As for ML it’s a ground, AJ, Leigh Sports Village, Widnes and York etc all stadia. My £8M from the Council would be a complete waste for reasons outlined clearly above and I object strongly. £4m for a weekly 2000 crowd at Salford FC, that’s a subsidy of £2000 pp.

To say otherwise is just looking for mischief. Id still rather know what the SG bid was and support it than moan after the event.

The statement above from the Council doesn’t appear to support that idea. I can’t see any recent statement of support from the Club for the Gerrard bid.

What is in know dout in my mind Moor Lane will be the end,of the club.Hard to stomach but thats what will happen. That's what Mayor Dennett should be being told. Also I think the people in charge of the club are doing a brilliant job,the only thing I question is Mr King thinking Moor Lane was ever viable yes it might have been the only option but don't kid yourself

Spot on Dixon Moor Lane will be a slow decline, the books my balance better in theory but its not building for the future or going to attract new fans. If the council choose to let Sale from outside the City/FC with the 2,000 fans prevail I'm at a loss although I'm sure Neville will give it a big one about FC's ambition. The stadium decision is massive as is 150 years of our club, as a fan I don't want to go to Moor Lane - if it was the promised land FC would not want to move from there in the first place.
Well done to everyone that's given a final push on the petition and approached their MP and Council Members, the bids are in so expect news in the next month. We can only keep making our point to Salford Council.

Maurice I admire your energy and commitment. Yes sadly we seem to be in continual survival mode which the Club are good at. But it’s all about raising cash, not £4m handouts from the Council and the Club can’t do it. What I don’t understand that if the Council are throwing around £8M why not put it into the Stadium rather than in a place with no future. I note that since Gerrard came on board with a bid that the Club have had a preference poll
