How come King is on the show? Is it the AJ Bell thing? Assuming this was all filmed prior to Neville stepping down. Deffo agree with the sharing with the Council, they've said to our club that Moor Lane has redevelopment potential, yet Neville says its crap. Not seen the episode you're talking about but I guess it might be the Salford City FC fans forum at ML you're referring to which was to discuss a proposed switch of grounds. I was there as a ST holder of both clubs and it was back in mid-August 2021.

We discussed the ground swop thing to death on here a year or so back when it was first mooted and Gerrard wasn't in the frame back then. We all know the club has struggled to pay the rent at the AJ Bell and these fan forums came about because both sets of fans needed to be kept in the loop (if you recall there was also a fans night at the AJ Bell with Paul King & a number of council members attending). The Class of 92 runs about 12 months behind so any events on the current series will relate to last season. Let's not get ourselves wound up by stuff that's been and gone eh?😁

I think if it's the highest bidder, which the council will have to go for, I can't honestly see Mr Gerrard outbidding the combined financial backing at Sale. That means the council are just making a show of deliberating and taking their time for the appearance of due diligence.
It is true that Labour Party are as empty of local history and culture as the Tories.

Not getting wound up SS, but if you watch some of the series it’s about Neville stating how poor ML is, lauding about the AJ then seeing the Salford Chairman effectively supporting him in moving us out and them in. Us into a dump, out in the sticks, no parking, no facilities with no chance of it being anything more We had a Hobsons Choice joke poll, the fans of our Community Club are never involved, it’s all just a show in my view.
It’s amazing how Gerrard came out of the woodwork, somebody on here said Blease found him. How many more Gerrards haven’t been found? We are a Super League Club, we need ambition and drive.
I would like to see Salford FC move forward but a 2000 fan base going to the Championship….is that just Neville’s ego? And he’s handed over to Butt, is he now bored?

When MU get their new ground they might take over the old one for Salford FC, so they can expand into it, using Neville’s phraseology😉. The AJ could then become thei4 training ground

Got this from my MP's office today 'We have not had any further update on the situation with the stadium, however we will get in touch with the council to see if they can give us a further update'. Will this ever get resolved.

I always think no news is good news Neville seems to have passed the reins/ buck over and has other projects, presumably better ego boosts.

I may be reading to much into this but there have been a few things recently which have made me curious. Firstly, the club have made a habit of late of calling the AJ Bell, the Salford Stadium and posted on social media about the Anniversary of the stadium being handed over to them. The three year deals being handed out for Lafai and Brierley, whilst giving the club protection in the transfer market, may also indicate a greater confidence in the overall status of the club going forward. Then, the sponsorship deal with Muse, who have worked with the Council too, made me think is this a part of a wider plan for development around the stadium. As I say, I may be reading more into this than there is but could they be indications that the club are increasingly confident of remaining at the "Salford Stadium" on a longer if not full time basis.?

The biggest indication of confidence in my eyes was the 3 year deal the coach signed

This is a glass half full view lets hope this happens - some great points are made. Sale/FC are really quiet on the ground currently, maybe it is the council that cannot agree a way forward with the stadium management company. To grow we need a decent stadium, that is must, Moor Lane is not that. Be interesting over the next couple of months on the stadium situation, doubt anything will be announced until the new year now, I know I am willing Gerrard's bid to go through that's for sure.
