Agreed Gadger and JJR. If the decision is with the Council then it will made in the next few weeks, Salford City Council have cancelled all Cabinet meetings this month. Part of me also thinks a decision has been delayed due to Salford's progress in the play off's clearly it is publicity. No much we can do now 10,000 plus signatures on the petition and lobbying of MP's Councillors to raise the issue, still worth emailing any fans emailing your MP and Councillors. MP / Council Contacts The contacts to email are as follows: For Worsley and Eccles South, the MP is Barbara Keeley - members.parliament.uk/member/1588/contact (Use the online form) For Salford and Eccles, the MP is Rebecca Long-Bailey - rebecca.longbailey.mp@parliament.uk (email) Salford Council - City, Mayor Paul Dennet - citymayor@salford.gov.uk Salford Council - Chief Executive Tom Stannard - Via online portal or Twitter www.salford.gov.uk/your-council/city-mayor/the-mayoral-team/As has been stated this club is building something and engages our local community why sell it out to a Union Club from Trafford and a Gary Neville vanity project which has limited support in our City.

Moor Lane is not a great option its a backwards step with limited potential for growth and may not even hit ground standards if the franchise system returns under new plans. And why would you or any fans want our ground sold to a Union Club that has no ties to the City and a poorly supported lower league football club - Surely for Salford Gerrard is better than being consigned to Moor Lane.

Because in fairness to the council it’s not there fault we’re in a mess with all the cuts within the council what do you’ll want them to let us carry on paying next to nothing?!if we cnt buy it then they must sell to someone else and as for gerrard speak to Paul king about gerrard that might open your eyes to what will happen cos he has no interest whatsoever in the rugby regardless of his twitter!the club spoke to him said get involved we would love it if your buying stadium not interested!

I’m glad you’re totally involved in all discussions LHRed; good to get full information. At least you and your mates will have plenty of space to sit at ML watching League One teams
Ps from what I’ve heard Gerrard won’t support a team at ML, neither will lots of others
But I think you’re a Leigh supporter😉

I am aware that the club have spoken to Gerrard on a few times, however the club has no role in Gerrard's bid commercially.
I will leave it here with a possible future headline 'Historic Rugby League gets evicted from their Stadium in their 150th year' No Salford fan wants to leave the AJ Bell, Moor Lane is a substandard ground - No Salford fan wants to see Sale/FC in the stadium at our expense.
As for the Council then my expectation is they will sell to the highest bidder rather than focus on community outcomes around the sale, the latter is their main reason for being not making money.

Yes but gerrard is vague couple of tweets and two minutes on radio and everyone says get behind him?!what’s is plan for the rugby?he hasn’t got one he’s not interested he wants the ground that’s it!as for moor Lane nobody wants that but we haven’t got anyone whose got 20 million to buy it so what’s your options the club are actively looking for help with buying stadium but apparently there not according to people on here they would rather go moor lane laughable comments

Lhred Gerrard said he would get the Club but not if it goes to ML I will go to ML rarely, as will most of my mates, and we’ve supported the Team all our lives, so I don’t blame Gerrard. The great Salford FC has an ave crowd of ~ 2000 I think Gerrard has said far more about keeping the Stadium than Messrs Rosler King and the rest of the Board. We had a Hobsons Choice Poll, pick from these 4, there was only 3 and it was a joke. So let’s hear from the Club supporting ML or not.
But of course they’ll sit on their hands and if Gerrard, who seems to have worked v hard doesn’t manage they say ‘ I told you so’ and we’ll go to ML developing players for other clubs and be in the Championshio with a ground just about suitable for that level.

I don’t big anybody up I do admire the work Watto Rowley and Blease have done with the lowest amount of money in the SL. There are other ways to raise money

Got a response back from SCC but no idea what they are going on about in part as below.
'You will be aware from the engagement sessions that the Reds have held with their supporters' - What engagement sessions are these?? Those in 2021?? (JJR has done this one before on this thread it was in a response someone else shared).
'that the Council have been working closely with the Reds, and other parties, to try to find a satisfactory outcome re their future. This recognises the financial challenges that exist at the AJ Bell along with the history of the club and all the benefits that the Reds and their associated activities, bring to the City.
In summary:
'We do appreciate that the matter has been ongoing for some time and does now, urgently, need to reach a conclusion but as you will be aware the matter is a particularly complex'.
Sounds a bit two steps forward two steps back. I have not had any engagement with the club on this matter since late 2021 when they ran the poll which was Moor Lane or Nothing as the only viable option.
My position has changed in the past 12 months, Like many fans I back Gerrard's bid for a Community Stadium at the AJ Bell, I hope this recent perspective is taken into account by the council in any decision making. At the time the club canvassed opinion we did not have an option to possibly stay at the AJ Bell (Gerrard was not on the scene). The Now position must be considered, the club has no say in where they end up after 2024 due to finances, the council however need to understand that many fans whom have signed the petition want to stay at the AJ Bell and therefore support Gerrard's bid by default as it keeps us at our stadium, its not consigning us to the Cas/Wakey imitation ground which will start an inevitable decline unless their is money for development. Neville wants to leave Moor Lane for a reason.

Agree WRD for me a Gerrard owned Community stadium is better than Moor Lane, plus no Salford Fans want to see Sale/FC at the AJ Bell at our expense. Whatever this fans engagement activity is the Council elude too, I have not been a part of it.
