Wouldn’t argue with that BR. Johnson had some great games for us but was dominated in others. Not through lack of effort. As you say, just his size meant that he couldn’t always get on top of his opponents.
But we knew he could do a job and that isn’t yet known about Dupree. I suspect the coaches would rather have kept Johnson and bring Dupree in with an eye on next year but either we couldn’t afford both or Widnes would only do a swap. Out of all our props I guess Johnson is the one we’ll miss the least so the right call from that point of view
