Given the recent renewals for Ackers and Watkins does anyone know who else is off contract this season? Believe they can legally speak to other clubs from last week. Be interesting to see who is off contract elsewhere too.

2023; Burke, Luckely, Livett, Taylor, Lafai I think
Re Croft, yes we’re still a survival club being a breeding ground for others. Sadly he’ll probably be offered at the right price to keep us going aka O’Brien and many others.
Will we ever get out of this survival spiral….and don’t say Moor Lane because then smallest ground, smallest budget, smallest crowds…2023, if we leave AJ, the downward spiral probably gets steeper.
Sadly we’re short of cash and it seems even some players still not sponsored this year: not a dig but just the facts as they appear. Just wonder how long this can go on without the Club generating cash, which is the situation since Marwan left.

Lots of teams will eye Croft, I think Wigan will be desperate for a decent half back. Of the others I would make Livett and Luckley the priority given age. Taylor and Lafai will have interest also, especially Lafai a few teams need to bolster centre position.

Just wonder how long this can go on without the Club generating cash, which is the situation since Marwan left. Anyone know what our average crowd at the AJ Bell is? I'd hazard a guess at barely 4000. Moor Lane holds just over 5000 so we'd be pushing capacity if we got similar crowds. Hopefully we may even get a few new/lapsed fans due to the close proximity to Broughton/Kersal etc. Overheads will be less but corporate may be affected due to lack of facilities. We will also keep proceeds from beer & food sales so we need to make people want to come down to games early and entice them to stay late. It's not all doom and gloom. As for the out of contract players. Seb back please! If we can have a decent end to the season we may just be able to persuade Croft to stay.🤞 An NRL call may be too much to turn down but hopefully all these massive Super League clubs with super dooper academies won't need a new half because they all produce their own right?😁

Sadly the Board has decided our vision/ ambition is Moor Lane, even Cas, Wakey, KR, will have better grounds soon as do York, Leigh , Widnes etc. As well as opening up to others, as per the Willows exit, a number probably won’t renew.

So your post was actually a moan after all then.😁👍 Same old broken record JJR.... for some reason you're probably the only Salford fan who struggles to understand the concept that teams with a small fan base and a non-wealthy owner have limitations in what they can do financially. Doesn't take a genius to work out why a move from an expensive white elephant is pretty much our only option. Not sure anything any of us say will ever persuade you that we have a great Chairman and CEO who live and breathe the club. I'm sure if they had another £20m-£30m between them they'd happily see it fritter away propping the club up. As it is I'm more than grateful to Mr King for putting his own house up as collateral.... how many of us would do the same?

Apart from having to move ground I think this is positive moment. I'm not a person who sees the bright side all that much.

Reality is clear as day. We don’t have a benefactor and what Mr King would do if he had more money is irrelevant. I certainly wouldn’t have put my house up as collateral. We can’t afford the AJBell,Moor Lane is the obvious alternative and we are what we are. Just enjoy the ride. Even Russ thinks it’s a positive moment.
