We were poor in the first half, no variety with final kicks. However, when Taylor broke through it looked like they knocked on but it went the other way. If we had scored then who knows...
Much better in the second half, strong running in by the forwards, but too late.

We seem to be moving forward which is all we can really ask this year. Remember last year, a new team each week

First half defence was dire, they made Johnson look like a superstar. Also defending high kicks to the corner. Same as Wigan crap 1st half better effort 2nd half, at least the ball stuck in attack in the end, that said giving a team a 20 point start is not acceptable. Glad we now have a week off heading into Easter lots of improvement required.

We never learn, that was our downfall last season, give teams big starts then start playing in the second 40, hopefully a good couple of weeks training before we play again to work on a few things

We seem to have had the same sort of game as against, as you say Wigan, and also Hull kr. Really poor first half then winning the second half.
But we’re moving forward with new team and new coach. Look at how Warrington and Leeds are struggling, both with world class half backs. Rowley is creating a team ,getting his philosophy over, his patterns of play, weeding out the deadwood, and developing a new culture. We’re without our 3 best second rowers, 2 for the season and we have no money to recruit unless Bleasy can work his magic getting players out, like Costello and Escare, to create a bit of money or getting some good loans in.
So this, to me is a transition or survival year. As has been said we’ll have the odd good match, we’ll see some exciting rugby and hopefully we’ll be here in SL next year.
Defence; last week we were poor in the middle, this week the edges, so we need to get the two together and we need to start well. And sorry Brierley on attack, at times brilliant, but defensively, dire generally.
So Rowley 2 weeks of defensive training for the Warrington match😉

Had a ticket bus was sick at weekend. Only seen highlights on Sky. Agree defense not great but Johnson is a quality winger.

Enjoyed the second half display - Dixon - spend a fiver each month and watch the lads on Red Devils TV.
Some great attacking RL and coaching is defo there to see with a much improved off loading game. Pleased to see Luckley back, Gerrard an excellent signing & Big King makes yards each time. Defence obviously needs tightening but we were up against Johnstone who was the difference in that first half.
Why the heck did we not use Atkin to give Ackers a bit of a breather - he deserved one. Musn`t happen again - waste of a sub spot - might as well pick 4 forwards if the `reserve` hooker not to be employed.
I`m still a glass half full man at this stage of the season.

Watched Newcastle Thunder V Widnes Vikings earlier tonight-Last night (Vikings would be a lot better name for the Geordies than the Chemics) Danny Addy had a good game for Widnes, even though Newcastle won 12-6, I assume Addy & Jack Wells have been loaned out for Match practice and for cover for SRD over easter if So Good idea Paul Rowley and coaching team.
Also I see that Amir Bourouh was in the SRD Reserves Squad down at the Old Deer Park Richmond in That there London, Must have been fairly expensive to play it at that ground In fact well Dear He played Loose forward Not sure if he played during the Fortnight at London Broncos,I expected him to be at least on the 1st team Bench when he signed for us.

I didn’t get to the game EB, but the family did and they have reported back on the same lines that you have reported. Trinity are no pushovers, well coached and are a hard working team, our first half display was well described by Paul Rowley and our second half performance was very good. I agree with all your comments and RDTV is very good and well worth the subscription.

I watched it and for me we need to bring escare back. Wanted Brierley to be really good but each week he seems to be getting worse. We're not a million miles away but need to defend out edges alot better, not a fan of Williams bit thought he had a decent 80, few positives but Brierley is a problem
