Seems a good bloke Agar, feel for him.
Enjoyed the win on Friday immensely , wasn’t overly convinced at the time with the performance but should probably watch it back, may be being a little negative. The 3 teams we’ve beaten so far are the bottom 3 in the league.
Ultimately though, improvement on last year for sure

I admire Jamie Jones-Buchanan's brain power but Sky are in for a surprise in his interviews. A translator may be needed.

I personally think the Standard of Super League is not what it was and as been in decline for a while I think this is reflected in the monies we receive from TV companies ask Wigan fans is this the best side they have had, they would think you wanted certifying. It also shows in our record against the Australians what is it the last series win over 50 years ago, I think that as done the game no good at all. Long gone are days when we poached what at the time were current Wales and England Internationals ie in our own case Watkins Richards Coulman and Fielding also other clubs did the same That does not mean today's offering cannot be enjoyed off course it can Rugby Union going professional didn't help also club owners who only cared about them selves and a week RFL added to the problem The game as been sanitised rule changes every season its the same in Union,In Union they still have all the palaver at the scrum then its fed to the second row anything to make it more attractive to someone sat in an armchair.

There must be particular ignominy in losing to Salford. As a bloke, though,Agar comes over as a decent bloke and his resignation statement reflects that. He will be staying at Headingley in another Role on the Same Salary !! So not quite that of a Bitter pill for him.

Dixon, careful we're not remembering a golden age that was not there.
I'd agree in certain areas we've not progressed as we should have. However the game reflects society ... it always will and always has. I'd love to go back to 1972 for tonnes of reasons but cannot. I still think we have a product that once experienced is wonderful. You're reading a person's thoughts who was a home and away United fan but does not even watch a soccer game even if it is on in a pub I am in.
It is easy to criticise but if it does not lead to improvement, why?
