I don’t think anybody is saying that Escare is the answer or even good., it’s just that he seems relatively better than Brierley. To me Burgess FB, Williams wing would be the answer

From memory, Escare's wages went up this season.
Actually I like both of them as players.

I don’t remember many people moaning about Brierley’s performance against Toulouse. But Escare performs against them (not that any of us saw it) and suddenly he’s the answer. Pretty sure if RB had gone to Wakey on loan he would have a better game than against KR too I’m sure we would have won yesterday if Escare was playing, what with him being so safe under the kind of bombs Abdull had all day to kick. Just like all those games we won last year when Escare was playing Yep,classic case of a player getting better for not playing for us. I happen to believe that Escaré is a better full back than Brierley but coaches don’t agree with me,and that’s what they’re paid to assess. I certainly wouldn’t move Burgess. I’d hope it’s a dry night. He’s not up against Abdul every week but ,dry or not, balls will be raining down on him. Hope the comes through the test.

The other full back, who’s played for Saints in that position is Costello but apparently he’s not in favour either.

Very much a Marshall signing, like Wells Thought Watson signed them before he flew the nest, but I’m often wrong. I rate Wells, Costello just seems out of favour, so we never really see him

Probably me that’s wrong. Not sure what Wells has done wrong. Apart from his injury record,he has plenty of go forward. Costello reminds me a bit of Scott Martin. Not enough physical presence

Agree but Brierley and Escare aren’t really intimidating. If he can play thee for Saints he’s not a fool
I think as we’ve said, Brierley is shot but to me he hasn’t got the instincts of a full back; they’re generally v brave or just plain stupid.

If Brierley is not doing the basics well then he needs to sit Friday out. Burgess to full back and Williams to the wing - he is very consistent. I would also spell Ackers at 9.

Where's the burgess to full back come from? Another random change I see. We play a pivot full back who joins the line as a play maker and now we want to put a winger there who doesn't play full back. Classic Brierley will continue in his position and building on his partnerships with sneyd and croft. Any other talk is pointless. Other problems to focus on is this "hunting in a pack" that was spoken about as so far the pack is still not punching holes and defensively not covering each other in defencive patterns which means when impact is made we are getting pushed back more

Burgess has played full back and basically Brierleys lost it at the moment. In defence he’s not up to it in my view
The pack is poor
