Not really getting the Brierley bashing. Abdul’s kicking game was excellent as was the kick chase. He was under massive pressure with every kick and took all bar one or two I think? Our attack isn’t firing because our pack is so badly beaten so there’s little room for the halves and full back to do much. Rowley’s teams will always go sidewards cos that’s his style but you can’t do it effectively until you have driven the other team back. Our goal line defence was pretty good tonight. We just spent far too long there so were always going to concede. Escare was playing Toulouse. Possibly the worst team to have played in SL. Brierley was playing last years SL semi finalists I can’t believe that anybody thinks Brierley had even a reasonable game. Sadly awful, no confidence and lacking skills and bravery…and not just this week And I want him to do well But next week maybe Burgess FB and Williams wing. Williams is 10x the player Brierley is and shouldn’t be out of the team

You analyse it anyway you want to,but last nights performance is not bringing the punters in,that first half display was one of the most diabolical I have seen in all the years I have surported the club, the forwards go to the line and take the tackle even when you are being tackled you should be hurting the tackler, and they were only marginally better if that performance had have been dished up last season this forum would have been red hot. I don't mind getting beat but even getting licked you can play with a bit of devil excuse the pun, this early in the season I am afraid its hope for one place of the above the bottom I spoke with a person near me who had not been for a good while and had decided to give it ago £23 concession he said he should have gone in the pub.

I do not want to blame any individual as this is a team game. What worries me is we now are up to the "big guns" over the next few matches. The patches I saw of Saints V Wire showed better organisation in attack and defence, better tacking techniques AND better drives into the line. I witnessed too many "switch-offs" in our team, last night, that will cause a potential cricket score when we meet these teams.
As said so many times at Huddersfield and last night: "Where has the team that beat Cas gone?"

I agree the floating fan will not be paying to watch that! But in fairness to the club we just dnt have the money when Chris Hill is on over 150grand a year and the most one of our forwards is on is 80grand we start to see where we're at! We are where we are yes performances have to be better but we have the players we have just lucky we have toulouse and Wakefield in the league!

Money doesn’t guarantee success ask Leeds or Marwan; we have to get away from this we have no money and just want to survive mentality. It’s developing the team that’s important; Rowley and the team are new it’ll take 3 months to settle. If we keep moaning about having no money, we’re the poor relations, woe is me, then let’s just drop to the Championship or get a plan together to sort it.
In fairness last night, first half against a howling gale could have gone in just 12 points down and won the game. I hate to speak about refs but continuously giving penalties justified or not is a sign of immaturity and at times panic. His job is to control and keep the game moving as an experienced ref would do. He was at best, poor.

I just mean people have to manage expectations with the squad we have we are bottom half you can see that! The way we got continously rolled down the field was poor! The last try at 18-16 Hall took first tackle on own20 and by last tackle they were on our 20!we have a poor set of forwards and that's cos it's what we can afford! As someone said last night you cnt polish a turd!

Stop blaming everything on the lack of money. The fans and Club are obsessed with this…it’s an excuse for poor performances, not going forward and lack of ambition. We’re a professional sport in a big City and should take a can do attitude if we’re to achieve anything

First half was as poor as it got. Like many, who had got soaked making their way to the game, I thought why do I bother. We made a go of it in the second half and we briefly had a game until we produced the Classic Salford trick of knocking on from the restart.
We can't keep going on about money, not when we are getting beat by Hull KR at home. These are the games we need to target during the course of the season. I thought throughout the game we were ponderous in attack and defence. Hull KR were nothing special but they went about their business with a bit of spark. I saw no difference last night in our attack to last season - a flat line, slow passing and little creativity. Is Danny Orr still in charge of the attack? If so it seems time to look at his role.
Brierley was shocking, I didn't get carried away with his signing and he has done nothing to make me think differently. Sneyd being named Man of the Match was a joke. In many aspects of his play he looks off the pace - a player nearing the end of his career rather than his peak. We look a Championship team, Castleford match aside. The worying thing is that we have had a reasonable fixture list thus far with bigger tests to come.
The ref was poor but we cannot blame officials week in week out. The six again rule though is a farce. It makes it easy for officials to "penalise" things. The penalty count would be through the roof in every game if some of the things being pulled were given as a penalty, as they used to be.
The worrying thing last night though was that even before the game it felt flat, like an end of season going nowhere feeling. We just have to beat Leeds next week but I am not hopeful even allowing for their start.

Think like last season we are going have to hope Toulouse keep on losing games, we won't beat Leeds next week, big club and they'll get all reffing decisions, no matter how bad they have been this season they will put 40+ past us next week

The ref,Jack Smith,is useless. I know we wouldn’t have a game but for people prepared to ref,but he is hopeless. The 6 again makes it far too easy for them. Hopeless. Sneyd was a terrific signing but that’ll be the worst he plays for us all season and his missed 2nd kick was crucial. If he was man of the match then…… complete your own ending. Brierley nerves are shot and other teams will play on that again and again. Trouble is that he’s teachers pet and he’s a Salford fan. Great, but that doesn’t make him a better player. On last nights showing he’s worse than Escaré

Re Escare, Rowley pointed out that it was a Club decision to release him for two weeks, not his. Apparently he was ok for Wakey and they got their 2 points narrowly, I hope the 2 points doesn’t come back and bite us for saving a few bob.
Or maybe it stopped Toulouse getting 2 points

Escaré isn’t going to play a key role for us and I guess he’s on really big money. Coaches, and The Height, don’t seem to rate him.and I understand why. It’s not about whether he’s any good,it’s about whether he’s better at fb than Brierley. I’ve just watched the highlights which are quite generous to him. Their try where one of our players failed to make it dead was Sneyd whereas I’d blamed Ryan. He gave a good final pass for one of our tries. I’d be surprised if Brierley ends the season as our full back

Just listened to the Rowley interview, admits the defence , tackling, standing off v poor. Did put a bit of support for his pal but I wonder if he’ll be brave next week and make a change.

I don’t remember many people moaning about Brierley’s performance against Toulouse. But Escare performs against them (not that any of us saw it) and suddenly he’s the answer. Pretty sure if RB had gone to Wakey on loan he would have a better game than against KR too I’m sure we would have won yesterday if Escare was playing, what with him being so safe under the kind of bombs Abdull had all day to kick. Just like all those games we won last year when Escare was playing
