Our Defence in the highlights looked pretty ordinary

In reality the teams only played 4 games and it’s survival this year. At least we have 4 points, Rowley is bedding in the same players and we have at least 4 good players to return.
Last year Watto was finding his feet and his results weren’t the best
Hopefully we’ll see progress? Have faith….for now

Just read a report, sounded bad Lannon, even tho he was sin binned and King given the best ratings. Akuola given a poor rating* again. I didn’t think lannon was that bad, no idea what was the sun bin for even watching back does anyone ?

I see our favourite (ie only😂) Hudds fan is cracking one out on the Hudds RLFans board tonight. She's obviously their only fan that has access to tinternet as even after a big home win not one of them can be arsed posting on their forum.
I've been watching the tries back and the defending was dreadful. Hudds really weren't "all that" and we pretty much gifted them the 2 points. Big reaction needed against HKR on Friday as today was totally unacceptable.

That was not acceptable yesterday, we have played two average teams (Hull got beat by Cas) and got easily beat each time, god only knows what is going on in defence. KR are an other ordinary side we face on Friday, massive improvement is necessary. Defend hard with enthusiasm that is all fans ask for.

Yep need a month working on Defence. But I heard we couldn’t break Hudds down either, 2 pts is poor. Hopefully Greenwood and Lafai back for Friday. But yes it’s real graft from now on
But Rowley building the squad; Wells, Johnson and Bourouh all seem good tackling forwards and will have game time soon.
Then Watkins and Livett

We were very poor yesterday. Huddersfield simply punished our errors and mistakes and didn't really need to step up a gear in order to get the win. You've got half a chance of winning if you do the basics right; sadly we didn't manage that.
Our forwards were completely dominated too.
It's easy to blame the ref, especially when your team loses, but we'd have still been turned over regardless. In saying that, the standard of officiating yesterday was atrocious.
Onwards and upwards. The only positive I can think of after that defeat is that we surely cannot play that poorly week in week out. We've also got players coming back from injury fairly soon which will hopefully improve things.
We've shown what we can do against an admittedly substandard Cas team and Toulouse, so hopefully this is just a small blip and we get back to winning ways, starting with Hull KR on Friday.

Like last week I can't comment on the game I didn't see it.For me its not losing although that certainly matters It's the performance, last week we couldn't stop tries this week we can't stop them or score any.We need to front up at weekend that's for sure.

But yes it’s real graft from now on But Rowley building the squad; Wells, Johnson and Bourouh all seem good tackling forwards and will have game time soon. Then Watkins and Livett We couldn't break them down for 2 main reasons. 1) I think we probably only had 3 or 4 sets in their 20 all match. And pretty sure we knocked on within the first couple of tackles on every occasion bar maybe one. IIRC we kicked the ball dead on the other occasion. If we'd had multiple sets to exert pressure I'd be more worried about our attack but we literally had no field position at all for the halves to work with. 2) There was absolutely no go forward from the pack. Our kicking game was always from deep and we had one 40/20 all match to gain some momentum. Pretty sure we knocked on pretty much straight away after it. I lost count of the times we had to drop out though as Hudds kicking game just penned us in and we looked gassed after 20 minutes. The first opportunity we got to attack their line with a full set we decided to take the 2 points which was a poor decision IMO as we needed to test their defence and see how it stood up. It was pretty much the perfect storm yesterday and the fact is that pretty much everything that could've gone wrong did. Apart from the horrendous performance a couple of other things baffled me. Why did it take 50+ minutes to get King on the pitch when we were being dominated? And what's the point of Atkin being on the bench if it's going to take 65-70 minutes to use him?

This weeks game should be a good barometer of where we are, KR have been pretty poor this season shipped a lot of points, but are always dangerous going forward. It’s far too early in the season to say this, but almost feels to me like a must win. I fully expected us to lose our last 2, I still think we’re on the right track on the whole and there will be some bumps, but we need to be beating KR, Wakey, Toulouse at home.
