Need a new pitch with proper drainage there as a priority. Sadly at the moment it would probably be th3 worst pitch in the SL I was at Garry Neville's first meeting when they took over Salford City when the ground was mentioned. I was at the meeting when he layed out the plans ie the new build, when someone asked about the playing surface because their is that much of a slope on it.Even they would not do that because of the cost.I have mentioned this before if you put a string from wing to wing it's nearly a foot. Its all right you keep saying do this and do that where is the money coming from.

In my view D at stage it’s not about the money it’s about the long term planning and ambition, which you have to have in place before you look for money. If we continually see ourselves just in a state of constant survival then we’ll get to Moor Lane stay there and in my view in a few years drop out of SL.
If you think a new ground with good facilities is out of the question look at what came out of Salford Docks; Salford Quays. Two men, Peter Henry and Les Hough, had Vision and Ambition for the City and eventually money came in as it continues to do and eventually went to put life back in the City. It’s how you view adversity that counts.

I don't think we will ever move from Moor Lane in my life time if ever unless it is out of the city and I suspect Mr King thinks the same. And if our crowd suddenly went to say 8,000 I don't think we ocould accommodate them we would not get planing permission the neighbours would not allow it That is my opinion, but I would love to be proved wrong.

Three men ,if you include John Whittaker A story I have often heard, including from a person who worked at the Council at the time, is that he got much of the area around the Docks for a £1.

The land is needed for housing? I'd agree if that land was being used to build affordable housing for low paid families or first time buyers. However it isn't, it's being sold off so that the likes of SalBoy & Keepmoat can build overpriced, poorly built fleecehold $hite that's aimed at those with good jobs who have a plenty of 💰.

Spot on that and sums up the history of England since 1979. Sad as losing the Willows in a confidence trick.

Threatened and forced out of The Willows by the RFL mafia . The very least they could do now is help with the inevitable move to Moor Lane

Even Wigan lost their ground not downplaying the pressure that was put on clubs to move to modern stadia but Wigan weren't affected by this, they agreed to sell CP to tescos for money shortly after originally agreeing to sell it to Whelan for use as a football rugby groundshare, all about chasing money rather than any pressure on them from the RFL to move

I’ve just heard we can’t have Moor Lane; turned into an Olympic Swimming Pool

I’ve just heard we can’t have Moor Lane; turned into an Olympic Swimming Pool An open air lido in Salford would be very welcome in tackling inner city obesity
