I thought I would start the thread by getting ahead of everyone else and dedicating the match to Meatloaf.

OK: I accept that. It's already dedicated to a player I watched in my youth and admired for his effort and skills.

Dedicate the match to Meatloaf! I will do anything for Salford, but I won’t do that…

Think I’ll stick with Colin Dixon, worked a lot harder for his wages

Good point and I don't mean to take away from Colin Dixon. Merely tongue in cheek 😋

Kilop : you're right to suggest it. Sadly many of my musical "heroes" are moving on (a product of my age) and I see where you are coming from.

Back to the match. I'm looking forward to seeing how cross goes in the centres again and if any of the other forward available have bulked up in the Off season.
Anyone got any thought on young Stevens who played 10mins last week?

I'll take a win tonight and a narrow loss at Wanky next week. As far as PSF's go, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.😳
Looking forward to it... forecast is for 4/5 degrees come kick off so not too bad (unless you're a big wuss😉).
I'll be getting my ticket at the ground though. Adding a £1 "mobile ticket/collect at ground" fee is a piss-take on top of Ticketmaster's £1.50 "admin" fee.
Having to pay 25% more in "add-ons" above the cost of the actual match ticket is a joke.

Hope Burgess gets a run out this evening and Jack Wells also. The young hooker from Wigan also needs to get a look in, Atkin is not a natural 9 and Addy is a 13 definitely not a half back or hooker. Having Amir Bourouh in form will be a massive plus. Also the expansive play we saw last week.

I really struggle to see where Addy can fit into the 17 if everyone is fit

A couple of years ago he was the stand out player at Leigh, last year he had a number of injuries and Marshall played him, and others all over the place. Let’s just see what he does with Rowleys coaching although I’m yet to b3 convinced.

Addy is a forward, we have cover in Atkin and Ryan B (At a push at half back). Interesting to see where Rowley sees Addy playing this evening.

Funny game that - Halifax were better than the score suggests 32-10. Our defence at times was poor when we were on top, Salford must have given away at least ten penalties plus a sin bin.
The positives - Croft was brilliant at times especially for the 2nd try, Brierley is vital for us in terms of our structure in attack, again he was impressive. With Sarge and Lafai likely to start in the centres our attack will improve, as will adding Greenwood to Wright in the 2nd Row.
Thought Amir Bourouh look a threat and will get better at Hooker.
The biggest challenge for me is the Prop forward selections, surely King, Sita and Luckley have be in the 17 for Go Forward against Cas. Who else plays prop is anyone's guess, for me its Wells currently.
Anyhow a win is a win, clean up the discipline and onto Warrington.
And Addy looked much better covering in the forwards when he came on. Bonus.
Also Sarge back for Wire and Cas, plus Lafai arrives Monday.
