Well I for one cannot wait for Saturday for the return of Rugby. The squad looks stronger than last year certainly in the spine, I hope we can add another prop before the season starts or during. Throughout the pre season matches everyone will certainly get game time, I hope at some stage we play with our starting 17, mine for Swinton would be:
1 - Brierley 2 - Sio 3 - Lafai 4 - Sarginson 5 - Burgess 6 - Croft 7 - Sneyd 8 - Sita 9 - Ackers 10 - Johnson 11 - Wright 12 - Greenwood 13 - Taylor
14 - Atkin or Bourouh 15 - King 16 - Wells 17 - Luckley
This to me is a strong line up and eager to see how they go on Saturday, appreciate we have many forward options that can be changed on the bench. Really looking to see what the brand of Rugby is like under Rowley and expecting much more direction then last year from the team.

It'll be interesting to see if PR's coaching brings out the best in some of the lads that we already know have ability but haven't kicked-on just yet. Looking forward to seeing how the half back pairing fairs, even if it's a rusty first run out.

I dont believe that Lafai is here as of yet so i doubt we will be seeing him for the start of the season.

Looking forward to seeing how the half back pairing fairs, even if it's a rusty first run out. Yes hoping we can see a plan with the attack after the clueless brand of Rugby under Marshall. Also if some of the younger forwards can kick on from last year then that is a massive bonus too.

Knowing the RFL it will be the Super League games. It is worth knowing as if it is friendly's it is a bonus. Donaldson of Leeds got a ban v Wakey then he was let off.

Be interesting to see who the centres are. Does Cross play there? What position does Stevens ( Academy player of the year?) play?

I think Cross is a winger so I’d expect the centres to be Williams and Costello

Great and skilful movement of ball.
Defence doesn’t look strong tho.

Glorified training session but structure in both attack and defence looks worlds apart from last year. Brierley is going to score a tonne of tries and Croft and Sneyd looked like they’d been playing for years. Cross was the stand out for me got a quality player there if we can develop him right. Wright was solid no nonsense back rower who took a good try and both King And Akuola looked solid going forward and defending. As with any friendly can’t look to deep into it but structure was completely changed and looked a lot more fluent than last time.

I think Cross is a winger so I’d expect the centres to be Williams and Costello As ever,I was wrong on that score but Cross looks quick. Impresed by Croft who takes on the line and supports. Aussie second rower,Wright, looks decent but, overall,I thought the pack seemed a touch lightweight

Yes pack seemed to be pushed back too easily. And on the back foot too much. Akuola and Wright defending not great for me. Pack needs to hunt together. When Luckely plays a measured game he’ll be good.
We’re going to be in for some great free flowing attacking footy tho.
