Joined 2010, Left 2014; another Noble master stroke Lance Todd trophy winner 2016 and 2017 588 goals in 165 appearances And wants to return ‘home’ for his family’s sake. 3 year contract Think that’ll do We did get around £140'000 to £160'000 for Sneyd from Hull FC, One of Marwans good Deals. Didn’t he go to Cas from us? Or is my dementia kicking in again?

Great signing in my opinion. I don't think you can overlook the importance of having a leader/general on the pitch. He brings tons of experience to the team and he's also a great kicker.

30 years old is prime time for a half back like him. Watching him the last few years he actually has a fair bit of pace I’ve seen him numerous times run 80 odd metres or so by an interception. Michael Dobson was 29 when we signed him and Hastings aside was the best half back we've had in my lifetime. Sneyd has arguably a better kicking game than both.

We always have good half backs; generally others pinch them tho Salford Retro have Fages and Tui lined up for next year

On paper many HB's are very good, yet it's the pairing and dynamic between any two that guarantees success or failure. There's been plenty of pairings that have seriously underachieved and plenty of average ones that have been outstanding. I think Tui and Fages are very good individuals, what would worry me if I was a Hudds fan is that neither are natural organisers.

My worry for Fages is that he’s started with shoulder injuries and Saints don’t let many 1st choice players leave without a fight. Yes they have a great up and coming half back but just seems a bit odd.

If I were to pick a half back pairing of the 2, I’d be picking ours

Salfordredallover. Had to laugh at your comment on the hull fc forum on RLFANS regards both their prospective half backs being digestives in 20022. After seeing the pictures of Reynolds on social media in Australia and his life on takeaways during his hotel isolation and knowing his dislike of training i can safely say that his late return joining up with his team mates around Christmas could see him more as a jam roley poly than a biscuit.

Looks like the jam roley poly is being paid to leave. Hodgson brings his mate over as the biggest ever blunder for a NRL player on a marquee wage. They will be wanting SNEEEEYD back.

Was talking about Sneyd and Croft. For those privileged to see Dai Watkins my view, probably now rosier than it should be, was that he could kick a ball twice as far as Sneyd, fantastic goal kicker and was faster and as tricky as Croft.
Not as well organised as Croft but Croft does remind me of him.
Thoughts?

Not as well organised as Croft but Croft does remind me of him. Thoughts? Hard to compare apples and eggs Dai was a terrific player and could kick very high and far though the 40/20 rule didn't apply and kicks seemed less stategic then than they appear now.
I won't have a bad word said against Dai of course but Croft doesn't remind me of him at all.
Like a lot of great players especially from Yawn he could be invisisble for 70 minutes and win a game in the last ten.
Croft's work rate and willingness to put himself at the forefront and in the midst of everything makes him quite a different player.
Good question though, JJR.
