Just a few updates for anyone not at the awards evening last night and who may not have seen updates on Twitter etc.....
Supporters POTY - Livett π
Players Player - Sio π
John Hoskison Unsung Hero - Paul King π
Try of the season - Sio v Hull (the one with the 2 crossfield kicks) I'd have personally given it to Escare v Leeds.ππ
Performance Team POTY - Livett π
Academy POTY - Jack Stevens π
Top Try Scorer - Sio (shock, horror!π²) π
Hitman Award - Elijah Taylor π
Confirmed leavers (they had a highlights reel)....
Inu Patton Roberts Pauli (x2) Brown, Moose (retired) Tui Seb Rob Artingstall (Physio) (Apologies I've probably missed someone obvious off the list so feel free to add if I have!)
Thanks to all for wearing the famous red jersey and good luck in your future ventures (unless when you play against us in which case I hope you're ****π)
Couple of points on the above...
Pauli - Strangely, 5 mins before it was announced he was leaving I collared him in the gents (not my usual tactic before anyone says it!π). Asked him if he was staying/going and his response was "it's up to Bleasey". Maybe he was just being diplomatic.π€·ββοΈ
Rob Artingstall - Probably got the biggest reception of the night. Massively thought of by everyone within the club by all accounts but Blackburn Rovers have obvs made him an offer he couldn't refuse so good luck to the fella. Thanks for 8 years of sterling service and great that the club acknowledged his contribution.π
Unsung Hero - Very touching montage with friends & family of Paul King contributing. Let's be honest, without PK & Bleasey we don't have a club (certainly not in SL anyway). We need to back the guy 100% as he's every bit "Mr Salford" as Wilky is and I'd rather have someone like Paul at the helm than a **** (albeit rich one) like Hetherington, McManus.
There are lots of people who deserve a shout out as well for the unsung hero.... James Hoskison himself for his ridiculous Facebook fundraising efforts, the Bradshaw's and the rest of the ST (can't give Pete too much praise as he's on this forumπ), the Foundation etc etc.πππ
We've got a great club guys & gals and we need to keep spreading the word about how awesome we really are π

Do you think the next manager is already sorted, with Sio signing an extension ? Would he (you) sign for another 2 years without knowing who the new manager was going to be ? Especially if its true that he turned down Wigan and Leeds.
