The part-time working thing sounds off to me, and forgive me for being suspicious of this 'information' being from one single post since registering in 2019. Apologies to bimbam if I'm wrong though. No offense meant.
As for people talking about Rowley, he didn't want the job the first time around so can't see it being him. Ward may be tempted but I'm not sure. If it's true that Henderson was close to getting the job they may default to the next candidate or they may just wait to see who registers interest before targeting someone. For me though, I think they must have an idea of who they'd like as this hasn't been a knee-jerk decision.

No offence taken Carnster. I only passed on what in was told. In all truth there are only three people who know what happened, so let’s see what unfolds. My money is on McDermott, but I hope I’m wrong. As for the one post; I have two accounts and used the wrong one to post.

I'm not a fan of McDermott but he is the type of character we need in a coach.

I think Leigh are talking to him last thing I heard. I'd have Cartwright, especially with his links to the club. Can't see it though.

I just feel we need a savvy coach with the ability to galvanise the team and inspire the players whilst bringing back the never say die fighting spirit that got us to two cup finals. It's was never going to be an easy task for Marshall following previous achievements plus the quality players we lost at the end of 2020. The spine of the team was ripped out and the likes of Tui, Pauli Pauli, Brown and Seb etc undoubtedly knew months back their careers with Salford was coming to an end. This disappointing year has been down to a multitude of reasons like recruitment (Darcy Lussick/Patton etc never really figured), odd team selections, poor discipline, fitness/endurance, several injuries, inferior spine, less effective defence and not looking half as slick with the ball. Ultimately though the book stops with the coach and the board are obviously convinced (Like many of the fans) there hasn't been enough signs of encouragment to suggest Marshall was the right man to take us forward. I'm sure the decision wasn't' taken lightly (Especially for financial reasons) and I'd imagine some senior players must have been asked for their opinions on the subject.

Is Danny Orr off to Warrington to re-join Powell & Sheridan? If so - Henderson & Briers may become available as a unit. If not - is he staying?

Rowley, according to ITK on Twitter ITK also said that Watson was Hull coach. Not the most reliable, although guessing at Rowley isn't the hardest of choices either. I'll wait and see...

Yes,he is a bit unreliable. Not far off with Watto until he looked at an atlas and saw that Huddersfield was closer to home than Hull. I’d have a small wager on Rowley though. Ticks a few boxes

He has no need for the pressure of a coaching role though. Money not really an issue for him looking at his interests away from the game. If he did get the job it would be because he may be hungry for it again. Who knows? He is very highly regarded by those around him.

Rowley would be great for a couple of years with a good Assistant like Briers taking over in the future; got to have continuity to do well consistently
Briers must be in there somewhere.
