Don’t think Ormondroyd will be able to play. Burke got a bit of a head knock as well. I think he’ll bring Ackers back if fit, and move Atkin back to half.
Escare looks good when Salford are dominating but is just too small to contribute in defence. Will probably stay at FB against Cas ( maybe not for Warrington/Saints)
Don’t know where we are with the injuries - Wells, Greenwood, Pauli, Ikahihifo, Taylor etc, so the forwards may stay the same. (apart from Ormondroyd)

Wouldn't change anything apart from obvious injury stricken players after we start to get some combos clicking.

Ormondroyd and Ackers both out. Hope some forwards will be available otherwise Atkin will be playing prop.

I did have a weekend booked in Newcastle but my mate bailed on me a couple of weeks ago so I've been um'ing and ah'ing about whether to go or not. The win against Hull swung it and I'm heading up with a couple of fellow Reds who have kindly offered to drive. Shame they didn't start the weekend off with Saints-Catalans as having one of the less glamourous fixtures up first will just mean people turn up for the 2nd/3rd games and the stadium will barely be a quarter full for our game I reckon.

Off up to the toon today, really looking forward to the weekend. Another performance like Monday would be brilliant.

Tough one this. Cas on a decent run, and a different team than the one from earlier in the season. A good performance is all I'm looking for.

We're not going to make the play-offs and we aren't going to be relegated. I think we should be looking for consolidation and some steady improvement in our performances. A win or three would be nice for our confidence going forward, but are not essential.

Good effort from the lads. About 9 or 10 first choice forwards out and more injuries during the game. Although from the commentators, you would think it was Cas with all the injuries.

Really disappointing performance that. Glad I didn’t go in the end. I know we’re missing 4 or 5 forwards but our defence was way too soft. Cas we’re really poor, made loads of errors and gave lots of pens away, no half backs. They were there for the taking and we let them walk over the line four times. They didn’t even have to try

With no forwards it was always going to be tough. They make the yards and do the last ditch defending against the opposition forwards. We had Tom Burgess driving it in on a lot of occasions which shows how short of players we are. Cas had something to play for and Salford didn’t and they just wanted it more in the end.
