Harsh score line, didn’t reflect the game. 2 tries on the stroke of half time/full time, 3 50/50 calls on tries went against us 1 for them 2 against us. Hard to say if the ref was right so will refrain from judging until I see it back but felt like we were on the wrong end of all the marginal decisions. That said I agree it’s not the answer and they can’t all be excuses, 42 points is too many.
Have to say though I quite enjoyed the game, we played some decent stuff. Sarge and Escare looked great, we threw the ball about well at times. Missing our props made a huge difference, they were just too big. Putting that effort in should be the minimum we expect.

The score line doesn’t really reflect Salford’s contribution to the game. The Catalan try just before half time was from a clear forward pass. The decision to disallow Escare’s try effectively decided the game. Salford were on a roll at that time. However, they never got any momentum thereafter.
The early stages of the game though reminded me of a Championship team playing a Super League team. We only got out of half by kicks..
Despite the decision’s of the referee, 42-14 is a drubbing. I still didn’t see anything to change my mind about Marshall.
My overall feeling of the night though was that the match was a reflection of why I am falling out of love with game. It was untidy, and played as if the rules are made up on the hoof, resembling a school yard free for all at times.
I don’t really want to give my season ticket up after 31 years but am edging ever closer to it.

Better effort than v Leigh and strangely (Richard Marshall) Escare makes a difference. Ultimately though the performances this year have been nowhere near the standard expected, our attack always looks disjointed which is poor given we have 4-5 games to play. Lets just all be grateful there is no longer a million pound game to contest.

I can't comment as was not at the game,so relying on the commentary from others I said I wasn't going after the Leigh debacle,so my season ticket stayed in the draw. I glad that people have said their was an improvement of sorts but we still conceded 42 points,I will be glad when this season is over I have gone through thick and thin home and away over the years but its getting hard to get motivated I think the season as been that bad. And lastly it seems like the club is just drifting we don't here from Blease or King if they are satisfied or not

Absolutely pathetic comments Dixon. Fair weather fan. When the club needs support you decide not to turn up and then still criticise! Basically you have no right to do so nor does any other fan who did not see the game. I will listen to you should you go to the Hull game.

Now now. Let's not all play "My fan support is better than your fan support."
Like it or not, any fan from fair weather, to lapsed, to hardcore, to season ticket holder are all entitled to their opinion. Whether anyone listens is beside the point. Shoot down the comments with reason by all means, but attacking a comment based on an imaginary hierarchy ranking system among sports fans just makes people look like pricks.

Strange old game, despite the dodgy calls and the score came away feeling rather okay. Escare is definitely got to stay at 1 and i think Atkin to stay at 6 who's really coming in to his own. Forwards got battered but it looks like something we're going to be addressing next year thankfully. The reason we got to the grand final and challenge cup finals was consistently. You can't build any attacking structure or partnerships when the bloke stood next to you is different every week.

Sorry Carnstar but if a `fan` can`t be bothered to turn up and then criticise about shipping 42 points maybe you should understand where I am coming from.
By the way - one of the best moments of the season for me occurred last night - Inu hurling the ball 40 yards - obviously looking for an NFL contract soon.

By the way friend I didn't criticise because I didn't go,I said they let in 42 points a fact.I think the only criticism in the post could be when I said you never here anything from Mr King and Mr Blease.

We're an online forum, so everyone gets a say. Your argument may have merit face to face, but here the egalitarian nature of the medium dictates the conversations. Like I said, feel free to argue a point in a rational and reasoned way, and try to avoid the straw man statements.

That Inu pass was worth the entrance fee Your most skilled back should play at stand off and he’s by far the most skilled player we have and I’d love to see him there with our new scrum half. He’s better than Maloney Tui Higano….no

I was unable to attend the match due to being in the Smoke but I got regular updates, Catalan are a good team we are a good team but sadly only on the odd occasion, perhaps the RL want Catalan to win the Title this year as part of their master plan😉😂😂 anyway anyone is better than Saints again.

I thought we played pretty good against the top of the division. We were up against a massive pack which we couldn't match so tried to give it some width and go around them. There was endeavor from us but I alway thought cats were in control and could go up a gear of needed, but having said that we did play pretty good. Think it also rehighlights how much we need to strengthen the pack in the Off season. We need more oomph and forwards with a bit of x factor. Currently we only have seb and pauli, both of whom we missing (and rumoured to be off) so they need replacing and we need to add to. The lad from Leeds sounds the right kind of mould (Don't know too much about the Cas lad yet) but we need another 3 or 4 to give us some real go forward and give the half backs so space to get these backs (which to be fair are pretty good) going. I know decent front rowers are hard to get but if we could get a dudson and a BMM in this pack next year it would have a huge impact
