I have seen more Rugby League football today from Leigh,than I have seen all season from us. They played with more heart and desire and a will to win than us and that is what hurts the most,it just feels like the £ 20 would have been better served to charity Surely know one can defend what we have just witnessed I have come away disgusted. Well played Leigh. It was 4 tries each Dixon which doesn't really indicate that they were amazing. They had a good day and we were utter gash. Leigh are an absolutely dreadful team and won the game down to our indiscipline. I think we were probably in their 20m area 4 or 5 times all match and pretty much scored every time. Brown missing touch by a good 10-15 metres from that penalty pretty much summed the whole match up. I'm genuinely staggered by how bad we were. I didn't say they were amazing,I said they played Rugby League.in fact I will repeat what I wrote earlier A DISGRACE. |

Why does he continually change the team ?
Higano is awful and no way should he be staying at the end of the season.
Brown looked like what he is a players who is retiring at the end of the year.
Ackers is a championship hooker and we had a half at full back who was our best player.
That’s our spine and it’s embarrassing.
The only other player to come out of that with any credit is Rhys Williams.
It’s time now for people at the club to look at what RM is doing as 5 wins two against reserve teams one against Leigh and the other two against a very poor Huddersfield outfit should have alarm bells ringing.

Chasing the game and we still stick to four non aggressive drives and a kick down the fullbacks throat. The team lacks flair, pace and leadership. The club has some massive decisions to make.

Wasted 15 mins of holiday time to buy tickets mid week to watch that crap.
Marshall needs to go, he is clueless - 5 from 17 is embarrassing. What he and Orr do week to week is beyond me other than procrastinate. No plan nor can they motivate this team.
We've had the piss taken out of us by Leigh, the worst team in the league with half of their squad out. As fans note, we are only where we are through luck. Get Chester in now and he will get a tune from these players. We should have relegated them tonight but didn't really care what the outcome was - looked like we 'were on the beach'.
As for Thursday lets hope its called off as this lot need a rocket, but Marshall has had 10 months, but yeah its our discipline again hey Rich. We've been **** all year, now its time someone is accountable.
As a season ticket holder I'm losing the will watching this crap. No more words.
Time for Blease and King to smell the coffee and if Marshall has negotiated a fee in the event of being sacked that's poor business for a club with limited funds recruiting an unproven head coach.
Pride is needed big time - we may be safe, but today was disgraceful with a good Salford turnout.

Hello - Maurice is back - Never see him when we win do we? Russ will be next. Chester? Get a life. Look at what the Trinity fans think of him - not just this season but for the past 3 years.
Leigh. Outplayed by two ball players in Mellor & Bell. Mentioned them before on here and we need to secure both for next year. Their lateral movement won this not the 5 drives and aimless kicks from ourselves.
Players. We need complete changes in the Roster. We have 6 regular forwards who drive, drive, drive. No offloads, run arounds, pi$$ offs, face balls etc - The 2 battering ram wingers waste 2 drives every time. Orr was a great lateral runner for Cas and he need instilling this tactic immediately.
I hope the players brought in by RM next season have good hands and can play basic attacking RL instead of the shambles we have currently. I will then give him 8-10 games to show what his choices can do instead of the players he inherited. Sadly our pack are dogs - and you cant teach old dogs new tricks.
The best news I heard today is that Marwan is teaming up with DB @ Leigh.

If your an optimist then credit to you, I see a team super lucky that Leigh have been dire for 16 games and we have managed to pickup a few wins, paying fans deserve more.
And as for us playing well I will be the first to offer credit, however today was a debacle. RM and DO serve up the same tripe almost every game as our attack and defence shows, the buck stops with the head coach.

Can't be giving 10 easy points to any team whether that is leigh or saints, we will get punished and today we did by the worst team in super league, going forward well I can't see us picking up points on Thursday if the game goes ahead, STOP THE SILLY PENALTIES, plus point no-one got sin binned 😁

Wattos tactics of the wingers driving in 2/3 times has stayed - we are so predictable but the common factor is that the players have not changed their tactics as they were with IW. Its the players who should be changed if they cannot agree to play a different style. As I mentioned - I would give them 8-10 games next season before giving them notice. Re Coaches I am not an axe man - Marshall has had a horrendous year with chopping and changing what with Covid etc. Give him a break. However - Lets look at the Roster. Who would you honestly retain from the players today? I would keep maybe 6. 11 players therefore not good enough and need to be axed. Maybe with Orr then changing this `driving` mindset in the players to a lateral style which I mentioned above we will see better players implementing the requests of the coaching duo. I have watched a lot of Championship Rugby this season and I could produce maybe 15 - 20 better and more gifted players than the squad we have from that league alone. |

Garbage At the start of this season most on here we’re saying this is the best squad we’ve had for years. Are you telling me Watson wouldn’t have this lot further up the table? Everyone has had to deal with changes due to Covid so can’t use that excuse. This squad and team are far far better than the Leigh team who beat us today, so what’s the difference? Coaching. Marshall isn’t good enough I don’t believe, unfortunately, I really wish he was. He seems a nice guy but I don’t think he’s going to make it and we need to make sure we make any changes coach wise before it’s too late. |

Obviously I am in a minority but I am blaming the players rather than the Coaches.
Who would you retain?
For me - Inu, Watkins, Sarge (? unsure), Williams, Atkin, Johnson, Ackers, Luckley, Taylor (? unsure), (Escare (? Don`t think Coach wants him), Ormondroyd (? unsure), Greenwood
I would certainly go for Bell (nap) & maybe 3 from Toulouse if they don`t obtain Promotion. 2 from Batley, 1 from Newcastle etc - there are some decent players with ABILITY in the lower leagues.

Was it the Coaching staff that told the team to Not kick the ball out of touch When we actually got a Penalty? Or the Coaching staff that told players to let the ball go out of play in Our in goal area And then have 4/5 Blame each other for it?. |
