I think this is a big game for us.
Win and I believe season is safe.
Lose, giving Leigh their first win of the season, creates doubt within our squad and belief in their squad.

Just back from a week in Cornwall so ready for this game given I missed Hudds. I agree with Chief I think this will be a difficult game for us, we've won 5 from 16 this year so this is a must win. Leigh has not been a good hunting ground in recent seasons so expect a big performance.
Does anyone know why Escare is out? Is this Covid related??
Anyone around Worsley before the game the Ellesmere Sports Club is showing the football (Utd game), there is a bus stop on the East Lancs (Walkden Road Junction) for the V1/V2 these are frequent into Leigh town centre.
Here's hoping for a win.

Absolutely speechless. I've seen plenty of utter dross in my time from Salford teams but that was absolutely disgraceful.
Discipline is appalling and we've just lost to Leigh's reserves. FFS, their first team is little better than a pub team but their reserves are barely better than a year 10 team.
Spitting feathers after that and Thursday night could be an absolute hiding based on that "performance".

I'm afraid we've been awful all year. Sure, we've ground out a couple of wins against opposition who were having off days. This is the worst, most ill-disciplined, and disjointed team I've seen and it just doesn't change. Not sure what the backroom staff actually do, and I just don't accept those that say "It's not the coaches who give the penalties away." It isn't, but it is their job to iron it out of a teams play and they've had long enough ffs!
It's about time that some of our fans opened their eyes to how ineffective our coaching is. We look sloppy, unfit, ill disciplined, uninterested, and substandard. It's also been like that since day one this season.
It's a good job it's taken Leigh sixteen attempts to get their first win, because a couple of wins before now and we'd be staring at relegation. it's what we deserve. This team sits where it does through luck.
That luck wont last forever.

Leigh,than I have seen all season from us.
They played with more heart and desire and a will to win than us and that is what hurts the most,it just feels like the £ 20 would have been better served to charity
Surely know one can defend what we have just witnessed
I have come away disgusted.

This was spot on, it was a big game. Shame nobody told the players. I’m really trying to see positives in Marshall, and find any improvement, but we seem to be getting worse. This is nothing short of embarrassing. |

Well played Leigh. It was 4 tries each Dixon which doesn't really indicate that they were amazing. They had a good day and we were utter gash. Leigh are an absolutely dreadful team and won the game down to our indiscipline. I think we were probably in their 20m area 4 or 5 times all match and pretty much scored every time. Brown missing touch by a good 10-15 metres from that penalty pretty much summed the whole match up. I'm genuinely staggered by how bad we were. |
