Uncle Gary will do anything to garner an advantage for his side. If I was a Wakey fan I'd be a bit miffed. Wakey 'at home' against Leeds but have to play at Headingly?

They're playing all 6 games at one ground as Sky have agreed to broadcast all 6 first round games.
I think 11 clubs would have been miffed if they'd chosen Wakefields ground. Imagine what game 6 would have been like in that 'turf'.

Imagine what game 6 would have been like in that 'turf'. I think it's more the fact it'll go down as a home game for Wakey (and away for Leeds) which is nonsense. But yes there are probably 4 or 5 grounds thatay not be suited for holding multiple games during the pandemic. (having said that access to the bar at Wakey is good and they do some decent pre-match grub in there!😋)

If there would have been Supporter's allowed at Headingley, You'd just have Wakefield fans moaning that it's a far too modern stadium for Trinity fans to visit They'd spend most of the Game marvelling at Running Water and non stop Electricity !!!

It just frustrates me that the Yorkshire bias is still strong in RL. There's a number of decent grounds that could hold the fixtures, it's just that Leeds always win out due to Hetherington's considerable pull on all strings RL. I've seen how he works first hand over many years, and he wouldn't be out of place in Game of Thrones when it comes to dealings and back stabbings...
He's a good example of what holds RL back behind the scenes.

I don’t have a particular problem with the games being at Headingley or ,too much, with Hetherington. Having said that, the Wakefield/Leeds games should just have been switched so that the first is a Leeds home game. Failure of logic

Seems it's England vs the Exiles the same week as round 1 so i can see a few decimated squads.
