Amazing Leeds: going down the pan, buy Rob Lui off us. This year Lui injured so just pop out and buy Eastmond

Looked like he was going to be a world beater when he broke through at Saints, seemed to believe his own press, struggled and headed to Union as the new Jason Robinson...

Looked like he was going to be a world beater when he broke through at Saints, seemed to believe his own press, struggled and headed to Union as the new Jason Robinson... A bit of a gamble. Not a youngster anymore by RL standards. Ten years out of the game and a game that's changed a lot since he last played. His problem was always his attitude, and like a lot of naturally talented players he thought ability would see him through but forgot about the hard work bit. I think they'll get flashes of the old Eastmond but I can't see the signing as anything but a massive gamble.

Coming from Union I bet he's not cheap either.

Coming from Union I bet he's not cheap either. - Returning Talent Pool Dispensation – Any Player who has not previously played rugby league in the 5 years prior to signing is given a value of 50% of his true value in the first year of his contract and 75% of his true value in the second year; Probably explain why only 2 year contract as well. Another L. Burrell, experiment, would be interested to see how the value compares with money that could be spent on developing talent. - Club Trained Dispensation – Each Super League club is given up to £100,000 of dispensation for producing Super League standard players;

Like an incentive to develop players? If I recall correctly, there's also a cap discount if a player plays Internationally for the club that brought them through? Or am I just dreaming all this up? After losing seven weeks in a coma a few years ago my memory is shot to pieces sometimes...

There will be relegation and promotion next season
Championship top 6 play and a % system as SL had last season with a minimum no of games to qualify.
If Covid builds up again, % in SL and the ensuing chaos caused by lots of games in a short time would mean a lottery for smaller squads. Seems a bit skewed.

Tables on % basis again. To get in top 6 teams have to complete 17 gameswW
