Just wish they'd try and offload a bit more and back up the drives. Another couple missed in the first half because they're setting up for the next play rather than tolling drives.
But when they got backing up sorted in the 2nd half it was superb. Pity there was no Tomkins to see his expressions as the tries went in

Second half master class. Some real beautiful RL. Imagine what we could do if we played for 80 minutes instead of 40! Imagine what we could have done had we shown this form early in the season. And mostly done without our main attacking weapon. Brings a smile to your face in a bleak week. To be fair. Our early season form has always been inconsistent because we're always starting with a completely new side. If we keep the majority of this team for next season, it could be a catalyst for better things. |

Really impressed with the soldier ref. Firm, fair, watched what was going on, took no nonsense, took time to make decisions, was aware.....I know I'm going to regret this...alongside Thaler as good as it gets. Liked him round the ptb as Catalan tried to get 6 more, just told them to get on withit.

Didn’t know it was Jack Smith. I wonder whether reffing withought the Sky cameras gives them more confidence.
He was decent ,although I didn’t see the full match,but I’ll reserve judgment because he’s been crap every other time I’ve seen him

He was decent ,although I didn’t see the full match,but I’ll reserve judgment because he’s been crap every other time I’ve seen him Smith was only given the game when the more senior referee Sam Tomkins withdrew. I agree we played really well with the wind second half, however I thought Catalans were everything that Ian Watson’s teams aren’t. They were stars playing as individuals and some of them were downright lazy and disinterested. Coaches have been sacked when their teams have performed better than Catalans today. David Mead wants booting out for his effort against Tui. |

It would be Nice for SRD to Get as many big wins away in Perpignan With the exception of 2019 as we do at Home the last four years we Definitely Know where the Try line was against Catalan.
