Interesting conundrum; too many class backs, and possibly Sio staying. Although he could play centre and has played 2nd row.

It really is a tough one this & no doubt he's done enough to earn another contract but I just don't see how to keep everyone happy if all fit.
Escare Sio Inu Burgess (if true) Williams Sarge Watkins Chamberlain Kear
Which is the strongest back 5?

Depends on who the new coach is and how he likes to play. If it is Wane you could probably guess that he'll stick with his Wigan players in the backline that he knows. Love Inu but he's definitely the type of person I can't see getting on with someone like Wane

I can't explain why but I can't see Blease and Wane getting on either.

Think Blease will respect Wane but I can't see Wane putting up with just hopes and promises from the Club Wane; hard down to earth real and a winner Interesting times if he joins the party

Sio is contracted so I can't see him going anywhere. Inu will be 34 next season, I personally don't think he'll be retained. My back 5 would be: Escare Williams Watkins Sarge Burgess/Sio

Inu is still a pup at 34. O`Loughlin is 38 & Wilkin is 37 both in far more demanding positions plus they cannot kick with the tremendous accuracy of Inu.
It would be a foolish move to let him go - everyone is different - he could play first grade for a couple of years yet.

That's why I said "personally" I don't think he'll be retained, my opinion 👍

Assume if he did Kear and Chamberlain wouldn't
I still think Inu would be terrific at centre in the same way Hurrel is, but better, and Burgess outside. Sarge full back or hooker. Inu potentially second row??
The thing about Inu is, he's that guy we knew, when we were younger, who was so talented that he didn't have to put in any effort, when we were training your nuts off and not getting anywhere near him. Amazingly so gifted that he gives the appearance of not trying. I wonder what Wane could do with him; could put a bit of steel in him which would take him up another notch.

Sarge won’t play hooker but I think the player who has most to fear if Inu stays is Escaré

For me Sarge makes too many errors at full back to be there full time, he’s excellent on the kick returns better than Niall but just always prone to an error. Nice to have these types of questions though!

Escare on the bench for me. Can cover a variety of positions in the backs.
