My view is its an individuals choice. And that choice is nothing to do with anyone else. But their is an organisation Black lives Matter, whose aims seem outlandish to me.But if you take it in its simplest form Black Lives Matter, just like every other life. All these players taking a knee in the Premiership how many are doing it because they want to rather than not be the odd one out. Martin Samuel wrote a really good article in the mail about it when it first started. Some organisation had wrote a damming report about the conditions migrant workers are working in Qatar,Samuel said don't their lives Matter, and that these players will be playing in the world Cup over there. A lot of the workers over there are not white. So what is the difference.

Sadly that's true MR.
But I think they'd already fallen out of love with the game for other reasons and this provided a damn good excuse for a reactionary response.
There were also people who gave the opposite opinion on that mailbox.
We are a divided country and I doubt it will get better again in our lifetimes.
But throwing away what you're passionate about and probably made you you is a fit of pique and a bit silly.

All this is very personal and should be treated that way. Sadly I feel the media, so called personalities Stirling, Hamilton etc, are pressuring people into doing it, which to me is totally unacceptable. ( It's strange I had a big mate, a prop and when he did anything good the cry was 'not bad for a fat lad', but it was a laugh for us and him not a slight on him being fat) As you can see by the comments on here it's becoming divisive not inclusive, which is sad.
I think we should now draw a line under this topic as it appears to becoming a bit divisive as well. I think everyone on here would treat everyone no matter what colour creed, ability, or type as equally as anyone else. We're generally Salford people and that's the way we were brought up. So let's celebrate that and do what we need to as we see fit, with freedom and without pressure.

Further to my previous post. In relation to Martin Samuel's article about the migrant workers conditions in Qatar would Sterling and the rest say. Black lives Matter in Qatar so we will miss the World Cup.You can't pick and Tues.I am in my early seventies and can remember walking past places that said no coulered or Irish here,it was wrong then as it is wrong now.Every life matters. And I would take two knees for that.

Returning to "normal" is the aim which includes things just as they were and business as usual.

Returning to "normal" is the aim which includes things just as they were and business as usual. Never going to happen. There will be a new normal at the end of this. If there ever is an end to it.

It's just change fellas...
Our generation is slowly passing the baton onto the next. At no point in history did a generation pass that baton on gracefully. They all complained, they all shook their heads and decried how much better everything was when they were relevant. It's just time, age, and the inevitability of how humans progress. Whether we like it or not, we've all turned into our Fathers and Grandfathers. We all think we've got it sussed when in reality everyone's idea of sussed is different. We're all too tribal in everything we do. It's ingrained in our evolution and we are slowly staggering through the process of trying to change that.
Enjoy the ride. None of us get out of here alive!

Is it just me ? Can we lighten up ? Is this the place for pontificating about philosophy, religion, politics, comments on Raheem Sterling etc etc? Iβm sure Iβve turned into my dad but, just for a change is it possible to talk about rugby,Salford, rule changes and slag off other clubs. Please. If it is just me,then fair enough,Iβll go quietly πππππ·π·

As someone else has said I'd love to see Offiah get offered a gig behind the mic, even if it is as a pundit to start rather than calling games.
Might help et rid of the Northern stereotype and he might help start to chip away at that image.

HullLive says we'll be missing three players and Escare may have to come in as a triallist ... Quelqu'un D'Autre or A N Other?

We're simply a better quality forum than others. Haha.
