Just seen Gary Carter's post on Twitter/The Sun, we're apparently looking to sign Joe Burgess for next season. He'd be a fantastic addiction to the squad if we could pull this off, would be an exciting partnership with Dan Sarginson on our left edge.

That could give us a back line of:
Escare Williams/Sio Costello Sarginson Burgess
We’ve had worse!

Not too shabby, this could also indicate that Inu will leave at the end of the season.
We've also been rumoured to be brining in Danny Addy who has been one of the standout players in the Championship this season (all 4 games of it).

Yes please, great burst of pace and would go well with the backline we will have if all rumoured signings are pulled off

Would much prefer a decent half back. Just hope there is one lined up as well as Burgess. Not heard anything on Sarginson re signing either

Not heard anything on Sarginson re signing either Surely Brown will be first Choice Scrum Half next season with the view to him bringing on Chris Atkin to eventually replace him. With our small budget i cannot for the life of me see us spending a large sum of money on a Half back when we already have 2 on large salaries (Tui & Brown) and a thirs in reserve.

I thought Brown was on a 1yr deal, he's not done much for me, well except get himself sent off.

If you look back at most of the signing announcements they say ‘next year’ with no mention of further years. On the only out of contract list I can find though, Brown isn’t listed but worryingly Sarge is - need to get him nailed down as soon as possible if he isn’t already.

Can’t see Brown being on a salary anywhere near as big as Tui (£165k a year) given his age and as he was coming back from a bad injury.

I am biased here hated him at Wigan and every club since. I know I should support any player who pulls on the red shirt but find it really difficult with peanut head.

My hope is that he plays out the season and we keep him on in some form of coaching capacity as have a hunch he will a much better asset.

Am I the only one who likes him? Whenever we played against him, he always brought something out of the bag. He is no Jackson Hastings, but neither is he a Jack Littlejohn. Anyway, back to the thread, I think Burgess would be a great acquisition. Would add some much needed speed now that Evalds is on his way out.

I also like him and think he is a clever player. Not sure about Burgess who went to Australia a world beater but looked a lot slower when I saw him against Wire.
