Someone from Scotland who works for the same company as me moved to a job in Brussels, Took him nearly eight weeks to get a work permit , So If you do make the move plan ahead, He had to queue at the Belgian consulate with people from third world countries, Refugees wanting to spend a long weekend with family . But 52% Voted for it . I realise this is off topic but can’t help myself and I’m bored - free movement is still in effect so why did he need a work permit? Unless he wants to be a frontier worker? If you move before the end of 2020 you will qualify for whatever Withdrawal Agreement scheme they have and can stay for as long as you like. Fill your boots MR! Although the UK Is still in the transition period till 31 st December , Free movement has ended, I had to Reregister with my employer and change from my British to Swedish passport. You'd probably have no problems getting a work permit for EU Countries but on average it costs €200= £178 ish

The Withdrawal Agreement which covers the transition period applies to the EU as well as the UK. The Agreement also covers settlement which is free in a few places (free in the UK) and shouldn’t be that difficult (although the usual suspects will drag their feet). Not doubting what happened with your employer- we’ve had the same issue in the UK with companies doing similar things when they didn’t necessarily need to. This is a rare occasion where I know what I’m on about on here as this is my line of work. Anyway, apologies for hijacking the thread!

Does make you wonder if the Mini cab business in Salford will manage to survive, That might be tongue in cheek but there is a good chance it wont.
Many will see that they can get about on foot and bike following this, plenty will have found that working from home is easier and cheaper, think flights will have tanked for a year and think people will be more frugal.
I can't see me making anything like the money I did pre Chinese Bat Flu so in reality I'll need to get back into the workforce again.
Anyone need a chauffeur

A bloke who is working for the nearby Deli Delivering Our Lunch As the staff restaurant is closed due Covid 19 had another job until last month until being laid off Like thousands of Other people, His regular job is a Pilot for Luthansa City jet !!! He said he's helping out his Sister at her deli. He previously worked for Air France based in Toulouse and is a Toulouse Olympic fan , I've started giving a good tip every time he comes I'm going to get a Discount code off him when He starts flying again. Every little helps ,Especially if I can get a Return in first class for the Price of a economy ticket for the NRL Grand Final in 2021 .

The spunk trumpet from Leigh is saying that a 13 team SL is being considered, Jesus I hope if there is Leigh don't make it, I'd ban people from having decking to get rid of him. There's a story on Love Rugby league Featuring a interview with a Leigh Centurions player Danny Andy He reckons they'll be the favourites to get promoted to the Superleague 😁😆 I'm in two minds about it , If they did they'd bring there legendary Thousands of Supporters but on the minus side we'd have to spend 3-4 hours on Leigh. If they get promoted I'll donate £47.78 to a charity of you're choice.

I saw on the same site an idea by Mr Bobby Goulding, late of this parish (and others). He has suggested a new set of teams that resembles an idea by a certain Maurice (get out your history books). "That means Goulding would see teams like Wigan, Salford, Leigh and Warrington merge to become Manchester, with St Helens and Widnes essentially rebranding to Liverpool." You wonder sometimes.

"That means Goulding would see teams like Wigan, Salford, Leigh and Warrington merge to become Manchester, with St Helens and Widnes essentially rebranding to Liverpool." You wonder sometimes. He also suggested that the clubs in this new league should only be owned by blue chip company owners and, I kid you not, royals. He then went on to suggest UAE as a possible other team - as someone kindly pointed out to me (it’s an interesting story) the bloke who tried to get rugby league going in UAE ended up getting arrested for it so I’d say that was a definite dead end!

Bobbie Goulding was a sensational scrum half, unplayable at times. The job he did on us in the QF in 1996 was one of the best half back performances I’ve ever seen. He seems to have done a good job of getting his life back on track over the last few years after a dodgy spell after he retired.
But he’s not the sharpest tool in the box and his thinking off the pitch isn’t nearly as smart as his thinking on it 😂
