Not the best idea to have both teams playing mainly in red though. Definitely not, Playing for Salford Was Rob Foxton A Salford academy player who after leaving the Red Devils joined Swinton eventually ended up at Lakenheath RU In Suffolk, He was involved in a Disagreement at a Wetherspoons with 5--6 American airmen based at the two The RAF Bases nearby, 4 Were hospitalised and the others had a month off work. Victory for Salford !! Ah Lakenheath, had a horrendous job once taking a chav family who'd been in Jeremy Kyle back to the American base there.
As for Gloucester I once worked for Avis car rental and when they were relocating from Salford Quays to Barcelona, the department I worked had to stay in the UK so a 3rd party got the contract and I was picked to go and train them, I ended up in a place called Quedgeley. 1 of the lads who I was training was a Gloucester academy player and Betts was the coach at the time so he invited me to go to a game, I've never experienced anything like 5000 people doing a passable impression of Worzel Gummidge all at once when they chanted Glooooooooooooooooor Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuur.
You might not like Union but good God do they make you feel welcome and can't half put away the grog.

Is there any Team Sheet available for the Game? I've been Googling it and can't find anything, the commentators don't help with it though.

MR this should please you - three hours of Salford games on Sky Arena today from 3. I’ve not looked but apparently most are losses but at least we are on!

Not Salford but worth the watch, I'd forgotten this even took place, the commentator calling Joe Lydon Joan made me snort my beer.

Again not Salford but this is brilliant and you get to see the legend that is David Watkins.
Plus we have Frank Bough handing over to Eddie Waring at Wilderspool, good times.

Apparently Frank Bough liked a Good hand on or off According to the News of the World story From the 80s or 90s😉

Just watched the 97 season highlights on RDTV. Naylor has always been my favourite centre but watching that was a good reminder how good he could be - offloads, assist, breaks, tries the lot! I was gutted when he left for Bradford and they played him less as a strike player as they had plenty of those so I’m not convinced he ever reached his peak but we’ll never know. He wasn’t nearly as good in the second spell unfortunately.

Mcavoy is the Tour guide at the Seven Brothers brewery around near Salford quays, I bought a can of there Juicy Ipa from a Pub near me for a 330ml can (Same size as a Can of Coke) €5.50. !! Around £4.85. Only bought it because the pint I had at the Aj bell was OK. And cheaper.

7 Brothers is sold at Littleborough Co-Op so I would have a squint at some of the Co-Ops.

I wasn’t as much of a McAvoy fan - he looks good on those highlights as well but seemed to go missing too often in big games and especially when we were up against it. Naylor had his off games but you could count on him in the bigger games especially if he was up against someone he didn’t like or someone wound him up! He had a few enemies- Critchley sticks in the mind.

Remember speaking to a mate of mine Don Preston. Don was pe teacher at Buille Hill High, played a bit for Swinton but coached Salford Schools and Lancashire Schools and possibly English Schools. Don was taken far too early. I was delighted when Salford signed McAvoy and was telling him how good he seemed. Aye Don said in his usual down playing way but they've missed the best. Who I asked.....Adrian Morley.. Don recommended both and we took just one.
