I think they’ll do a deal with Sky to be played behind closed doors so that Sky have some content.
Sky will offer significant compensation to individual clubs to prevent collapse.
Not everyone will be happy,as ever,but it’ll help with survival

Where will Sky get the money from if people are dropping their Sky Sports packages as expected? Why won’t they be offering that money to other sports? Would need to be a significant amount to cover the shortfall. Seems a long shot to me.
That also doesn’t deal with the French and Canadian problem, players refusing to play and entire teams having to isolate. This might drag on a while.

There are some obvious challenges with this.
How do you keep the players fit enough without over training them when you have no restart date?
If the reserves system is still going to operate will the RFL set a limit to number of1st team players able to play each week to stop teams just throwing them all in to keep them match fit.
Will teams play each other behind closed doors to keep match fitness but these games not part of the league schedule?
If Magic Weekend is during the down time period will it be rescheduled and if so would the format remain the same?

MR reserve teams won’t be playing- rugby at all levels is off.

I doubt we will restart for a number of months. Johnson said earlier that the govt was removing first responders from mass gatherings to use them on other activities. I did not think you could have a match without an ambulance on site.

April 3rd is only a provisional date and will act as a review point to determine if the suspension should be extended, based on the status of the virus/country.

Just been confirmed all English football has now been suspended until 30th April at the earliest. Would imagine RL will follow suit.
