With the inevitable suspension of games I wonder how the likes of us, Wakefield and other hand to mouth teams will manage.
Will the RFL assist or maybe see this as a way to cull some of the less glamorous teams with the transcontinental teams now queueing up to get into SL?
A potential issue is that they will cancel the cup to allow games to be squeezed in and robbing teams of revenue and will Sky have slots later in the season to allow coverage?

I don’t go with the conspiracy theory about a cull, but maybe you were joking. Survival will become a massive issue,I think, but I’m not sure the RFL have the funds to help. If they do,then I’m sure they will.

Get rid of the playoffs and just have a first v second Grand Final. That saves a few weeks. The Ashes would be next to go I assume. Luckily we’ve built up some funds by having a few home games already so should be able to survive a postponement of games but probably not a cancellation of many.

If they do,then I’m sure they will. Part conspiracy and part common sense, the RFL obviously are hell bent on expansion and if the chance to crowbar the likes of Ottawa and NY in I'm pretty sure it would fir the narrative much better to get the fast tracked in ASAP.
You'd like to think the RFL will step in and assist any struggling teams but as you say do they have the funds?
I'll be surprised that come the end of this there are the same number of pro/semi pro teams in the leagues.

If the RFL really were hell bent on expansion at the cost of others then Ottawa and NY would be in by now, London wouldn’t have been relegated, Newcastle and York would have been promoted and Toronto would have been allowed to have some central funding. Seems to me that the RFL and SL aren’t very convinced by expansion and are risking the integrity of all 3 pro-divisions by their approach.
It is a real risk that some clubs will go bust if they can’t play at home for 3 months or more. Some players will face real hardship as their clubs won’t be able to pay them. The RFL and SL have no money to bail clubs out. To suggest it will be an excuse for a cull is massively insulting to everyone working in the sport and undermines how difficult this will be for genuine reasons by adding nonsensical conspiracy theory in. Completely unnecessary and unhelpful at a time of crisis
As others have said. The difficulties faced by the clubs and the sport is nothing compared to people’s health and staying alive. That needs to be the focus and the government needs to be prepared to throw a lot of money at critical services and I’ll people to get us through and then at small/medium businesses, voluntary organisations and sports and cultural bodies to make sure there is enough of society left after the crisis has passed

There is a meeting tomorrow of all club owners/CEOs and they favour a postponement of all fixtures.

You do realise you just used 'RFL' and 'common sense' in the same sentence?

There is always a solution Sadly Saints Wigan and Leeds will manipulate it to whichever way they want the wind to blow.
Our Club has to identify our solution which keeps us in business. So we perhaps need to find our solution and work on it from now.
Might be a time for everyone to pull together

Might be a time for everyone to pull together Might be a good idea for the club to release a classic match each week on the TV channel at say a cost of £5, I'd buy them just to help out and get the chance to watch some of my old heroes.
Sadly can't do much more as life is going to get tough for me pretty soon with no customers, but I'm willing to do what I can.

They’ve added a few already MR - I’ve not signed up yet but will do this week as I’ve now been kicked out of the office!
